I've been going through a lot lately and it's been a source of bother to me.

Something keeps echoing in me that perhaps, there may be a God out there and that I may have really hurt with the things I've been posting lately so I think I just want to be on the safe side just in case there happens to be a "Last Day" (if you know what I mean) thus I think I want to leave Atheism; I feel it's too much of a delusion on me.


BUT........

there is a big problem that has me stuck in this very dilemma.

Guys, please I need your advise on the following.

* GOD:

Yahweh, Allah, Brahman, Buddha, Amadioha, Olodumare, Sango, Zeus, Jupiter, Bel, Asante, Astarte, Moloch, Sugmad, Aliens, Satan, Odin, Dagon, e.t.c.

Which of these Gods should I worship?

* RELIGION:

Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Eckankar, Zoroastranism, Order of Dagon, Wicca, Taoism, Baha'i, Sikhism, Semitic Pagan, Roman Pagan, Heathenism, Buddhism, Celtic Pagan, Gnosticism, e.t.c.

Which of the above religions should I follow?

* HOLY BOOK:

Bible, Qur'an, Veda, Suktras, Book of Satan, Torah, Apocrypha, Gnostic Scriptures, Baha'i Texts, Hellenistic Texts, e.t.c.

Which of the above Holy Books should I believe?

* HAGIOGRAPHY:

I need an honest opinion please, not just biased trash. What do you suggest that I do?

* when offering me your advice, I'd appreciate it if you state your reason for whatever suggestion you may offer.

* Please and please don't tell me to "pray to God for guidance" because you haven't even told me the "God" to pray to, in what "Religious Style" I should pray, the "Holy Book" I should recall while praying and the "Holy Man" that should be my center of focus while praying. Please don't!! If you can't offer any suggestions just read comments.

I'm not of any religion, but since you said you want a religion seriously you should go for Buddhism there you will get inner peace.

Bro, I've heard testimonies from guys who are Muslims and trust me, there are some that are extremely "miraculous" that you would just want to leave your faith for theirs. However, in every religion, there are those who have had encounters that have cemented their faiths for good. Buddhists have had encounters with Buddha, Hindus have had encounters with Brahman, Eckankar have had encounters with Sugmad, the list goes on and on bro. What I'd say about your case (as I would say of all the others) is "It was unto you as you believed"... Faith with a blend of luck saw you through bro. *wink.

You no understand eh...nothing like"luck"...it was a supernatural encounter...i mean one on one with GOD...uptil now i'm still in awe since 2008…bros, kuku give your life to jesus cos i was once like you until i encountered HIM(JESUS) and my orientation and mentallity about GOD entirely changed.

u are the one who has a problem with people having supernatural/spiritual encounters. we religious people generally believe in the existence of spiritual world and have real encounters to back it up...unlike the atheist, who blindly claims that something does not exist simply because he has never encountered it.

the question of which of the spiritual entities or deities is God isn't one u should bother urself with since u do not believe they exist. that is a question for religious people to bother with. A christian will not tell u that Allah does not exist, but that he is a demon and same other deities or gods. Muslims know that Jesus is real but they say that he is not God.

sounds like only u and ur small camp of 3-13% are sane.

what if the majority is right and there is indeed a spiritual rhelm?

I asked in this thread if one could lead me to right God, religion, Book & hagiography and Firstking01 said he had an encounter with GOD. I drew his attention to the fact that people of other faith claim to have had encounter with this GOD too, he says his God made him give his life to Christ while the other I poster the author presumably claims that his God him have faith in Lord Krishna (his Supreme GOD), so the delusion remains:

Well this post is over 2 years ago now but the key here is, what makes you sure that your religion is the true religion knowing fully well that it is just one out of 4200? What is the proof behind your certainty that the God you worship is the TRUE God (above the other "TRUE God" as seen by others) when it is just 1 out of millions?

If Nigeria had been colonized by China or India, we most probably wouldn't have had the ideologies we now do. We are following these religions not because we know FIRST of there formulations but because most of us where born into the delusion.

It's unfortunate that many of us are already knee-deep in this to even realize that we are in delusion in the first place. But all the same, that was the purpose of this thread.

let us establish certain things.
1. you are an atheist. so sad. wish u were not. so let's forget the sarcasm.
so atheist are those who do belief in the existence of any deities. nor the existence of any spiritual being.

2. the fact there are counterfeits of a thing does not disprove that a genuine does exist. but rather the opposite. common sense.

3. Christianity is full of proofs. Our God never told us to come and follow him blindly.
Psa 34:8* O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

So I can assure you that I have many proofs..
by the way, hallucination is a sign of a central nervous system disorder. a normal human, not suffering from any mental illness cannot suddenly begin to hallucinate. let me repeat....NORMAL PEOPLE DO NOT HALLUCINATE.. it seems atheists are extremely generous with their diagnosis; they give it to everybody that disagrees with them.
