Oga church is not the only "assembling of the brethren". If you're able to assemble with people in your household, with colleagues in your school, in fact now we have social networks sef; a group of Christians on Facebook/WhatsApp etc is a social assembly. When you watch preaching on TV, you are also part of their assembly. If people had these methods in the days of Jesus, they would've utilised them.

Op people dey gbajo you, i hate when people say "i think" and not what the bible says. How can you not go to church and at same time claim to obey God's commandments? In Hebrew the commandment is precise, and how can you do all without going to church and winning souls for Christ? or na your parlour the souls go dey visit? Part of the purpose of church gathering is for togetherness and witnessing to others, so how can you participate? Na only you wan chill for this world finish later come go heaven!

As Christians, we should go to fellowship at every given opportunity, whether it be sunday church service, mid-week services, house fellowship, prayer meetings or sunday school... In fellowship we stand in the gap for one another to escape the battles of life that are real and raging.
In fellowship we share God's word which is a light unto our path and a potent weapon with which we fight the underworld.
Let's stay in fellowship friends.

I think what we need to first look at is the meaning and purpose of church. Church means "Ecclessia" - that is the "called out". I think from time immemorial, things like team, association, group etc has remained a very strong and formidable way of getting along and achieving big things in the World. In fact if U av a believe system and U don't want to loose that believe system, then I think it will be beta if U can look for people to join U in believing what U believe so dat U can form a team. There are many things that gatherings, team work etc does for members like encouragement, more knowledge of the group and so on......

When U talk about a Church, there are many tins attached to It.

#It is when u join the people of God in fellowship (church) that U can hear the World of God more and more - Hebrews 3:13. If the quantity of the word u consume per week is decreasing because U r not attending the fellowship of other brethren (as in church) then I tell U, u r very close to falling for the temptation of d devil.

#It is when u fellowship (church tins) dat u will be active when It comes to spiritual activities. When U make urself available in a church that's when u can participate in spiritual activities of different kinds.if u sit down at home and even wants to engage in spiritual tins, do U know that u can be distracted by visitors, ur family members, neighbours etc. U can even sleep off.

#Church brings together pple of God with different gifts of the spirit. It Is hard to find someone with the 9 gifts of the spirit mentioned in d bible. When U go to church it's an opportunity for U to be blessed from other pple with d gifts of d spirit

#There are some doctrines of d Bible that churches must keep like Water baptism, breaking of bread/washing of d saints' feet ordinance, tithe and offering etc. Now if U do not go to church, how will U partake in all these?

#Church/gatherings in the Bible
-Jesus (baby) was brought to the temple (church) where he was seen by two old adults.
-where d apostles prayed in the book of act shook
-Hebrews 10:25
-Jesus often go to the synagogue of the Jews.
-120 apostles gathered at the upper room to pray for Holy Ghost baptism
-Jesus appeared to the disciples in the place where they were gathered on the first day of the wk.
-Jesus at 12 yrs with his parent went to shiloh for worship

# You hear testimonies of others in a Church. This helps ur spiritual/faith life to grow.

#Evangelism is another tin. How will the Gospel of Jesus spread without the Church. Think of Jesus ministry on earth without the disciples and apostles!

#When U r saved, U will love to be among brethren who share ur believe. Christianity is a religion that exist as one family. Christians are not lone rangers. We walk and do things together. Think of the name "Christians" first given to some pple at Antioch, U will see dat the name first exist as plural. That was labelled of some pple not just one person.

*Now let's get this: Church attendance does not guarantee heaven likewise if U don't attend Church you may not be able to make heaven. since U will be disconnected and the devil will be happy that U r vulnerable and any temptation he brings, you will easily fall 4 it. Church is a formidable force/team of the gospel. Church tins helps ur spiritual life to be intact.

My prayer is that we will not be guilty in Jesus name

Physically going to a church building, while objectively commendable, does not ensure one's salvation... only God does this.
