Nwanne m calm down. Anambra is a model state that plays politics without bitterness. If other Nigerian states plays politics like Anambra does then this country would have gone far politico-economically..

What is politico-economically? Nigerians just like to form english on their own so far it sounds okay to them..

I do not know what the fight is about, but one thing I know is that Obiano was an executive director while Obi was a Non Executive director in Fidelity bank while we were there. In the hierarchy of governance, Obi is higher than Obiano, so it's ok that the apology came through, nobody loses anything and life goes on.

A Nigerian soldier has reached out to me asking if it is fair for them to buy their own uniforms and why the Nigerian Army ID card cannot be accepted as a legal tender. The soldier wrote:
Non sewn uniform is bbetween 10k and 12k, while the sewn one is between 15k- 20k, boot 7k-22k. Please tell me how much will remain for the soldier and his family, school fees is there. Please can you publicize why the Nigerian Army ID card can’t be legal tender document in Nigeria, the soldier at the war zone won’t have chance to get drivers license or National ID card. Please make this anonymous.
When I asked if the matter was that serious, the soldier said: Yes, though some soldiers serving in any training ground do have access to free uniform and soldiers serving in Guards brigade (that is the Presidential Guards Brigade, an elite unit dedicated to protecting the President).
The soldier continued, saying:
School leave application won’t be granted as far you don’t have Godfather even you try to sponsor yourself the moment the authority knows it can lead to dismissal or any severe punishment. Last salary increment was during Yaradua regime despite soldiers dying in war zone. Please enough for now cos I don’t know what maybe the outcome of this.
Of course, for the soldier’s safety, the identity remains anonymous.

mynaijainfo:

In an unexpected turn of events, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Wilie Obiano has reconciled with his Predecessor, Chief Peter Obi. It was the burial mass of Late Rev Fr Nicholas Tagbo held at the Assembly ground of the College where Mr Obiano and his predecessor, Obi (Former Anambra Governor now a member of PDP) were once students under the late Rev Father.I still don't know y obi left apga

The event was well attended by dignitaries including the former governor, former Rivers Governor Peter Odili, former Presidential aspirant, Prof Pat Utomi, the State Chief Judge, Justice Peter Umeadi, former Member that represented Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Mike Ajegbo among others.

In what could be best described as a surprise to all in attendance, Governor Obiano in the most humble manner apologized to his predecessor for any wrong he may have done him, prompting the former Governor to approach him at the podium and embrace him. Together they knelt down before the altar and the Archbishop, Metropolitan, Ecclesiastical Province of Onitsha, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke who was also a student of the late Padre, prayed for them.

Speaking later, Governor Obiano who noted that the late Father Tagbo had taught them to love and pursue unity with one another, said it is only proper for him to apologize , although he did not know what the challenges were between them.

Governor Obiano stated that the former governor did exceptionally well while his administration lasted and he came on the platform of continuity and is taking Anambra to the next level, adding that he is committed to giving his best in the service of the State as he was taught by the late father Tagbo.

Responding, former governor, Chief Obi who pointed out that what is at stake is beyond him and his successor, said as a christian, he is under obligation to forgive whenever there is cause to. He pledged his total support to the Obiano administration in its efforts to build a better Anambra for the younger generation which he noted, the leaders of today must give account of their stewardship to tomorrow.

In his remarks, the Archbishop, Most Reverend Okeke who said Father Tagbo even in death has remained a bridge builder, thanked the duo for putting aside their differences and uniting to work for the growth of the state, describing them as true Christians.

Other Old Boys who spoke at the event, including Prof Pat Utomi, Dr peter Emetulam and Dr Mike Ejiofor took turns to eulogise the late Father Tagbo as a master moulder of men.

As a christian, you don't always apologise because you've conspicuously wronged people. There are times you apologise for any wrong you may have done but never noticed.

Afterall, the Holy Bible says "Be it possible, make peace with every man". We are the ones that always complicate simple issues. Shallom!

Obi made Obiano governor singlehandedly. Nobody knew Obiano until Obi brought him. So it is safe to say Obi is Obiano's benefactor. Proteges stab their benefactors at the back. Benefactors also want to control proteges. For me, any commitment you cannot uphold, don't sign up to it.

jeez!
someone that virtually, single-handedly made him the governor of Anambra against all odds?
why do we like to burn the bridge?
the lack of respect for their predecessors is one of the major reasons for sit-tight mentality for African leaders, because an incumbent is certainly sue he would be denigrated once out of office.
are you saying you know better than Obiano?
