I need help. My HP Pavillion dv 3500 is now displaying like the negative of a camera film.

I received warning to check for the genuineness of my windows 7 pro for sometime but I ignored it as I was very certain that my windows was genuine having used the laptop for close to 6years. But immediately the warning expired, the Laptop's display made it very uncomfortable to use as it was not showing clearly and I cannot verify my key again as the label containing it at the back of my lappy has peeled off.

Kindly assist with a way of correcting this display and how I can retrieve my windows keys as all the ones I obtained online are wrong.

it seems you are dealing with "windows is not genuine" ishh? Are you given any warning when you boot up your pc? If you apply wallpaper and next time you boot up your pc is the wallpaper still there or just black background? Can you provide us with screenshot of your pc Desktop?

The background is just black. Each time I boot up, it keeps reminding me that my activation period has expired.

I don't know what else to do again.

Help! My hp laptop shuts down on its own.

My computer randomly (at least seemingly) froze a couple days ago. I had to manually restart my computer with the power button. After I restarted it, my computer would not get past the opening windows screen. It would usually just freeze and after a couple more trys, I was greeted with an error message that says:
