....I put it to you that you are an hypocrite if u refuse to mention the name of the church....if u want us to believe ur story, then mention the name of the church.....

Guy you just have to mention the name of the church so others can beware and so the church can be shamed or reformed. My church uses tithe card but I've never subscribed to it and I will never subscribe to it even though I pay tithe faithfully. How seriously they take the issue varies from parish to parish and from Pastor to Pastor. Normally to wed in my church, it is your belonging to a house fellowship (home cell) and regular attendance in church activities that they consider. I wonder if they've started adding tithe card.

All these excesses and additions to God's word is becoming very disturbing. It's why I don't bother defending men of God anymore. Let God fight for those truly doing his word, the excesses in most churches has just become too much.

Church weddings are mere blessings especially if you are not getting married in a Catholic or Anglican Church

The certificates are worthless and not recognised by law. Do traditional, go to Court and register your wedding stop being ripped off by charlatans.

Religion will keep scamming Nigerians.

Why do people even attend useless churches such as these? Since when did paying tithe become a prerequisite for someone to be wedded in a church.

Muafrika2, Winner01, Mrzenographer come and see things that are going to make more people lose their religion with time. I heard that they also did same thing in OYAKHILOME'S CHURCH. And some years back, I heard that Lord's Chosen Church demanded 100k from a poor guy who wanted to have his wedding ceremony also.

Let him go ahead with the marriage as far as both parents endorsed it. Biblically, nothing like white wedding

It's only in Nigeria that I see people concern about wedding venue, the wedding can be held in your sitting room as long as you have an ordained minister of God from a registered church.

I will advice he contact another man of God and use the reception venue for everything or he should go to registry. All he needs is a marriage certificate

When he can do registry peacefully? Your friend should go to the nearest registry for his wedding, God does not only bless weddings conducted in churches.

To those who are scammed by this trash of a write-up, where on earth is the IVs printed without a date and location?

Where on earth will the date be given to you without having agreed that tou are QUALIFEID"?

Where on earth did you attend the mandatory Pre-marriage counselling and you did not hear any of such demands?

Which pastor, who REALLY knows you pay your Tithes will insist on paper? NONE!

You know many are not even in any way committed to any \church nor are interested in the ways things are done. It is confirmed by you except to those like your friends on this NL (that remain an everflowing member of the congregation) that you are cooking up this trash and that you did not really know what happened.

Many here will keep saying that the salvation is free, but will NEVER go to a nearby bamboo church. They will be looking for, and later be boasting about with how great my church is. YET those who made such happen are earning a lot less than they are.

Ask your friend what does he know about youth fellowship? How many time has he ever attended Sunday School/Bible class? Which members of the same church has he ever visited or personally known outside the walls of the very church? Which department is he/or voluntary work has he ever done?
Which wedding ceremonies, Child naming and other positive events in the church did he go?

If you do about half of the above, NO PASTOR WILL EVER STOP YOU FROM GETTING MARRIED because of a common card!
