At this junction we all need to pray hard.

We have depended so much on crude oil and those years when it sold for 100usd per barrel, our leaders were busy embezzling the excess profits rather than use it to developed other sectors.

Unfortunately Buhari is only a victim of global downturn in oil price as it now hovers around 40usd if not lower and this has caused global economy hardship and not only in Nigeria but why we feel it much is because of the preexisting hardship in the country and I won't say its pretty late to diversify...what a sad situation .

No matter the Party that takes over, as long as we don't have other viable source of generating income for the country, I'm afraid ....

Plz where are those threads created when the last administration reduced petrol price by 10 naira. Fashola gave us a very apt analogy, can someone remind him plz. What did gbenga adeyinka say again? I need to be reminded. Those stories all hit the front page.

A lot was said. How come things seem to be worse than it was.

If they can't run the country, they should split the thing period.. The only defense / distraction is that people stole money.

Venezuela jerked up pump price by over 1000%. Saudi Arabia in the middle of serious economy meltdown and many other countries and it may get worse.

When you depend so much on one business without diversifying and people no longer patronize you the way they did please what happens next? bankruptcy.

Yes I am not against religion but diverting foreign exchange for hajj, was it a priority at a time like this. Lowering the exchange rate of dollar for purpose of pilgrimage.

Buhari should order the CBN governor to print naira in abundance to complete the equation nah.

but jokes apart, Nigeria will on the long run benefit from the deregulation and removal of subsidy...more money will come into circulation etc. I know the initial birth pains and attendant readjustments could be painful but there's a very bright light at the end of the tunnel...take heart.

Well, it is not a conspiracy.

It has everything to do with the fact that we still import most of the refined fuel we need. Price increases are a reflection of that fact.

Nigeria needs to build more refineries. Simple.
