There are Ijaws in Yoruba areas. In Yoruba oral history, Ijaw, Nupe, Bariba, Ashanti and etc are always mentioned. So we have Ijaw of Yoruba. I think one LG in Ondo and another in Warri. Making two if I am right. When Nigeria breaks up, people like Edwin Clark, Tompolo and etc will be citizens of the Yoruba country as it was before colonisation.

I do know the likes of Kingsley Kuku the former NDDC Chairman is from Ondo but he is not Yoruba he is Ijaw.

As for the people saying Afonja like to lie, ask yourself if many states in Nigeria dont have some other tribes in minority since the share border with another state with another tribe in it. Anambra is not 100% Igbo, you have Igala minorities in the parts that borders Kogi state.
Edo state also borders some part of Ondo you can find yorubas in the Akoko Edo side of Edo state, lagos state majorly Yoruba speaking borders Contonou with the Egun people in Badagry side of the state from contonou.

These problem came as a result of boundary mapping.

Do you agree that there were nations, full fledged nations before colonisation? Nations known in Europe? the Kingdom of Iwere is one who are probably from the original Iwere ile in Yoruba folklore. that is Warri. Ijaws in Warri were not a sovereign nation. They are on Iwere land.
