No problem if u can get someone to share with u or u look out for people that sell 4wks on the streets though the problem is that u don't know the source of the birds and this can cause future crises but anyhow just let me know

Per kilo sell is dependant on the farmer but for bulk purchases @ 6wks old by Amo is 430 kg
Then most times during xmas sales size is the key , some even sell at 3500, 4000 depending on size
The list most times is 2500 except ur bird is very small in size

Our 80 to 95% broiler DOC still available

Maybe from Friday I may up date the house on a recent booking which am going to manage for a client
The idea is to raise 300 broilers and sell @ 4wks and re stock for Xmas so be on the look out cos I shall upload the steady progress

Well done oga noeloge, I am glad I stormed here on time. I grew interest in breeding of chicken some weeks back but I am always scared of animals, hence I cannot touch any. I have been encouraged to start with agric birds as against the local ones. I will like to start small but my oga is telling me that I cannot manage the day old chicks that I should get the 4wks old and that it is too early to buy now against xmas sales but my body is shaking (anxious), I can't wait. Please advice. Note: I want the broiler and layers.

Sorry for my delayed response
I believe u need to first of all have intrest in raising birds
Then u can start small just to learn but try and be sure of source of ur day old to avoid so much mortalties which will discourage u
Then for the layers u can start with point of lay and learn will they lay

And the broiler, is it true that it is still early to buy them now that it will just end up taking much from me for feeding?

Sorry for my late response to ur question u can actually raise d birds to 4wks but after 4wks u must move them , then d 19 by 26ft room cannot accomadate 200 matured broilers except they are not well feed
So option a is use d 2 rooms after 4wks of broading then sell part of it before maturity or look for alternative accomodation
Option b is reduce d no of birds to 1500 and use d 2 rooms for raising d birds

Please how many day old chicks can be raise in a 10ft x 10ft room for 4 weeks and how many Adult broilers can be kept in 20ft x 20ft thanks. Urgent answer required please

10ft by 10ft will take 100 doc to 4wks
20ft by 20ft willl take 50ft to maturerity

Point of layer are agric birds that are a month or less to laying u don't need to hatch anything when u buy the birds give them normal food ration and medication and @ the appropriate time they will be laying daily for u
But u can't hatch the eggs cos they are not fertilized
