Every individual belonging to a group must accept and abide by the group laid down rules
Your friend wasn't fully prepared for the wedding, he should have known all requirements before now

What do u mean give what belongs to ceasar.... blah blah.... . The Bible never mention that I must pay my tithe. Abeg if it's there quote the passage for me Abeg. And it never stated that a tithe card must be sign by the church. If its in the Bible pleases quote the verse and chapter.

IN this hard economy nai pastor they demand 2 years backlog of tithe.. .. For Wetin becos after marriage the guy should start facing difficulties abi. Even if he had the money he should not pay it. I will rather give the money to a begger that to that pastor MANDATING me to pay the tithe.

Some people done change the Bible meaning to their own selfish gains. Anyway who m i to judge na GOD know everybody heart.

My interest isn't to judge or demonize any church even though I have personal reservations about the church's doctrine. But I will leave that to the church members and God to decide. My main interest is the opinion that will aid my friend's wedding.

If your friend hasn't realized up till ths moment that religion is a fraud, then there's no point giving my opinion. I was once an adent believer and follower of religion. When my wife gave birth to our first child, we planned to do the child's dedication in my then church (St Michael Anglican church Coker), before my wife could resume work. When I went to the church office to book for a date, a register was brought out and scanning through the names, my name was there quite right, but they claimed that I didn't pay an average of what I was supposed to pay in a year as a member. They now calculated what they thought I should pay. I had no problem with that but the only problem was that there was no money at that time. In fact, the doctor in whose hospital my wife gave birth in, was so kind that he not only reduced my bill but also collected part of the bill and allowed us to go and bring the balance later on. I was so devastated to learn that a church that ordinarily should be a place of succor became a thorn in the flesh instead. All my plea for them to take the little money i had on me and promises to bring the balance when things get better fell on deaf ears. I was so downcast because I was one of those people that so much believed on religious doctrines. That single event opened my eyes and made my to start asking questions. To cut the story short, I am a free man till this day. Free from the scam called religion. My research on religion and God proved that God is real, but religion is a fraud.
