dachuchi7:don't paint God of what God is not . God is not a sadist. Hypocrites in the church you people are not celebrating birth day but you people are celebrating church anniversary! You people condemn christmas and fail to condemn worshipping on sunday because sunday service has some pagan traces!!! Abi? You forget that if you die they will celebrate your death which is your funeral then tell me which one is better birth day and funeral? Some christians will end up in because of foolishness. |

jcross19:Spot on. However, the birth date of Christ is not known with certainty and He never advised us to celebrate His'. Christmas, as some Christians are meant to believe is Christ's birthday, has pagan origin. However, Christ admonished us to celebrate the Lords supper in remembrance of his death. Know this also that birthday celebration according to the psalmist, is good for us to number our days and apply our hearts to wisdom. [NIV] Psalms 90:12 Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Another fact as you rightly mentioned, is the worshiping on Sunday, which has pagan origin. This was introduced to alter the original 4th commandment of God. http://www.sabbathtruth.com/sabbath-history/how-the-sabbath-was-changed |

Okikiki:The sabbath day was a day that was fixed as a holy day of rest and worship in the synagogue during Jesus time. So,I don't see how sunday is a pagan day as you imply just as muslims worship on friday which is called Jimoh, also christians worship on sunday which is called sabbath. |

jcross19:Don't put words in my mouth,my topic did not mention sunday but Birthday. So don't try to paint me what I am not by implying the opposite. |

dachuchi7:That God wrote it on a tablet of stone with his own fingers as the fourth among the ten commandments signifies permanence of that law and even Jesus never changed it. On the origin of Sunday worship, read the item shared cos not all Christians know the truth about Sunday worship. http://www.gotquestions.org/Constantine-Sabbath.html |

The sabbath day was a day that was fixed as a holy day of rest and worship in the synagogue during Jesus time. So,I don't see how sunday is a pagan day as you imply just as muslims worship on friday which is called Jimoh, also christians worship on sunday which is called sabbath.Remember any fact not supported biblically remains unbiblical. Having said this, could you support your claim of Sunday being termed sabbath in the Bible? If not, then your transposition of Saturday sabbath for Sunday is unbiblical. |
