I always ask,if you are to be judged by your online comments only will you make heaven? If no,you still won't make heaven by any other standard that's the truth.
If all your online posts and comments(WhatsApp,Nairaland,Facebook etc) were read to your neighbors, church members or colleagues at work,will you stay be in that house or church or work place?.
Most Nigerians are working for people who are of another tribe,yet they come here spitting hatred,if your boss read your posts here won't he sack you immediately? Hypocrites,especially so called Christians who carry bible and still have a heart to hate I wonder where they got their own bible from.

It's not necessary because of cheap Data that has resulted to this menace instead it was caused by our colonial masters. This phenomenon might continue for a while but will die naturally when we start thinking objectively not supporting a particular tribe or person at the expense of the truth.If an Igbo guy commits an offence, he should be criticized constructively not out of hate .His triber man shouldn't support him same goes to other tribes. Until we do, this madness will continue to persist no matter the level of control being put in place by the moderators.

Every country has their peculiar challenge and ours might not be different from theirs. The hatred among the three main tribes has being there from immemorial perhaps one could have thought that inter marriage will reduce it but has it? Definely not. This is what our politicians are using to win votes up till now because the bad seed sown has produced a lot of branches.

naa we're too busy jisting, making money,flexing,drinking or looking at fine girls to remember when we see on the street..such is naija life . We actually love each other deep inside we are brothers. But for those who keep the bitterness they are slowly killing themselves..dey should let bigotry go and watch. Its not easy but it will make u wiser

If not for anything, tribal war only exist on nairaland, some people like me just joined in for fun but in the real world as long as we have an aim together, there is absolutely no difference between Yoruba, Igbo etc

The fact is that it's also happening in real life. In offices (both government and private), bars, schools, even in churches. People carelessly make statements like, " That stupid [insert name of tribe here] man/woman. That's how they all are".
You'll be in the midst of people having a nice general conversation and some/most/if not all, will switch to their native dialect and continue the discussion.
I think I'm a more sensitive to this issue because I'm from 2 minority tribes from 2 minority states and I see the same behavior across the board. People who complain about such behavior in the 3 major tribes turn around and do the same to others.
The internet only makes it more visible. Same as it has always been.
