My take:

1) It's most likely an exaggeration.
2) May they not turn out to be new agents of 'official' Jihadist activities in Nigeria!
3) Another open door to steal money in the name of rehabilitating them. Note what is happening to the resources meant for the IDPs.

You can stand up and be counted as a responsible Nigerian Citizen if you volunteer to be a field officer in Sambisa forest to gather all the data you are asking for. Afterall your fellow citizens are helping the military as Civilian JTF.

8,000 surrendered to re-group again to form a new outfit. If it was NIGER DELTA militants that surrendered, they will be arrested and killed but because they are Hausa-Fulani, they are welcomed like kings. If not for the AMENSTY programme by YARADUA, they would have killed all the NIGER DELTA militants if they venture to surrender. We are watching BUHARI in 3D.

There were reports that apc government steals food meant for idps camps.

That resulted in starvation and even many deaths in idps camps.

Very senseless and wicked government.
