The only product that has worked for me is a witch hazel cleanser. Don't buy the cosmetic brand. Get the pharmaceutical ones. I use T.N dickinson's witch hazel. It's not up to 2500 and it's very big in size. I know you've gotten a lot of recommendations but pls give it a try. Witch hazel won't dry your skin. Good luck and keep everyone posted.

I have used tubes ,epiderm both lotion and tube,funbact A etc.. Dose stuffs don't work for me.. I started using honey about 3 days ago.. My face is now as smooth as.. Hoping the black spots will vanish..honey really works just dat it is very uncomfortable.. I hate d smell talk more of the taste but what can I do

Hi, first things first,you need to find out what causes the breakouts on your face and eliminate that problem.it could be your diet/consumption of oily foods
I'll suggest that for a while u stay away from scrubbing your face with sponge and use only soap(a good soap would be black soap,aka dudu osun) .
Then get a good cleanser(e.g, skin doctors witch hazel) that u must use every mornin and night(with cotton wool after washing ur face. Follow up with a good moisturiser like johnsons day or night face and neck cream. After like a week and a half or so,the current pimples would have dried off.
Now u can get a good facial scrub like st ives as ppl above have rightly said. Use it 3-4x a week. This regimen works not like magic but it does work

Op,the best way to go is natural, don't buy any tube or cream, the best combo is mashed garlic + honey + aloe Vera+ milk add little water to form a solution and use cotton wool to dab on your face before going to bed, within weeks it should clear out, it will be gradual but sure, don't go and use what might worsen it,I once used a tube I will not mention only to have an outbreak. make sure the mixture is always freshly made, don't use left over

There is nothing like dark spot removal.
It may sound strange but u have not care to wonder why dark spot on poor teenage girl disappears on Its own without additional Effort.

Our skin are Naturally built to repair itself.

I misread the post. Witch hazel won't clear your spots. It's only going to treat your acne. Use fair and white cream to lighten-up your skin or better still, try Silka papaya soap. I've not used it before but I think it's good. Honey won't do anything for you

@ op from your post I can see you are tired of spending money on trials and error. I suggest you see a dermatologist if you have money but if you are not too financially buoyant. Go to H-medix or any big pharmacy, get acne out soap and cream this will cost you about 6000 or less.use it morning and night.at night massage few drops of goya bottled olive oil on your face before application to combat dryness.you should see remarkable difference within a week of usage. U can buy cacatin is just 50 naira but it works like wonder,, use dermaliss facial cleanser #500,,, and dont use anyao cream on ur face,, best of luck

Witch hazel can't lighten-up "DARK" spots. It can certainly clear and treat the pimples. I've seen the "skin doctors" brand but I don't buy skin products that has no review online. You won't see anything on that brand on any forum.

If ur face gets oily like an hour after bathing, without d application of cream, u av an oily face, if not, it's dry, then if it's neither, then u av normal skin. After dat, d key 2 avoiding pimples, is proper cleansing of ur face, morning and night, also don't sleep with make up, and avoid make up products dat clog pores. U need a non drying cleanser like dove dats gentle. After cleansing, u need 2 get an alcohol free toner, dat contains abt 2% salicylic acid, dat will help clear d dark spots, over time, and prevent breakouts. U apply on ur washed face, after bathing, a good product is neutrogena, and u let dry. Then u moisturise ur face with a gel or lotion moisturiser, cream will be 2 heavy and could clog ur pores. Avoid all dese lightening products. Try 4 some time and watch. Also visit skincare sites.

it basically removes deep seated dirt which can cause acne
it also removes damaged skin cells (I.e the dark skin that causes the blemishes)
so over time with continuous usage, you get a newer, clearer layer of skin
