Toks2008:LOL! So you think going down to insults will help you prove your points better? You've just succeeded in embarrassing yourself further. I even gave you the respect I felt you deserved by adding "sir" in my quotes to you, but you just proved how much of an arrogant twàt you are cos you don't deserve no respect. Age is not maturity mr toks and if at your age you cannot counter a very simple argument from someone you know is much younger than you then it's a very big disgrace on your part. Trust me, I could have easily replied you with hail stones and finished you off, derailing your thread in that process. But I won't do that. I still give you your respect. ![]() I'll still give you the chance to man up and face counter arguments like a matured man and not one who replies anyone who doesn't agree with his points with degrading statements thinking it would put him down. You're welcome. |

naijaboiy:I was actually hard on you cos you refused to read the contents before writing your rhetorics so you were not countering the points but just blabbing Let me advice you, go on and curse me if you want..this is a faceless platform but I put it to you again that you should imbibe the culture of reading before commenting. You keep yapping about discouraging polygamy when my disclaimer clearly pointed to that but you are just too lazy to read. |

Toks2008:LOL! Mr.man I read your points very well and I reasoned them too. Those points do not outweigh the disadvantage of polygamy and its effect on us especially right now. That's my opinion on it. Let the moderators move the thread to front page so we can see what others have to say about your thread. ![]() Have a blissful night rest. |

naijaboiy:I guess I need to clear the air on some issues. I don't know the age group target Seun had in mind when he created nairaland but I joined in 2007 when I was 9 years younger meaning their is a level of maturity that I have now which usually comes with age progression and that needs to be reflected in what I write and how I comport myself even on a faceless forum. Seun, lalasticlala or any other mods must understand that not all of us who write stuffs here are freak of frontpage but the truth is that there are cliches of people with different interests in terms of fpage topics. I write stuffs here cos I enjoy doing that at my free time and what I write is not for everyone but unfortunately it is impossible to filter out responses. My write up here usually appears on many blogs even before they make front page and some get discussed on media which goes to show that some people don't need front page acceptance to know good stuffs. Every thread on romance created on nland by me are tagged controversial but a closer look will make the message clear. This particular piece is for a particular people who also visit nairaland and as I wrote, I do not expect a thumbs up from anyone neither do I expect any vulgar or baseless attacks from anyone. The disclaimer on nairaland has exulnerated Seun meaning we are free to air our views so If my threads smells like pooh to you please ignore it rather than troll yourself on it. Anytime I see boobs bearing or curves flaunting threads on front page I usually look away cos those do not appeal to me so please I implore people to maintain a status quo on an online social platform where everyone has right to freedom of expression.Enough said |

Richiy:Young lady please take a cold glass of water and a chill pill then answer this question in all sincerity. If a 40 year old single mum or widow friend of yours comes to you to advice her if she should marry a married man who is asking for her hand in marriage...would you ask her not to? If you have a never married 42 year old lady friend intending to marry a married man would you ask her not to but wait more for a single never married guy? Waiting for your answer and how I wish Seun or lalasticlala can also answer this simple question. |

Toks2008:As d saying goes: for lack of cogent point, d tortoise attacks d personality of his Chi! I don't expect u to fathom d above. A lil question though: must u display ur ineptitude every time? All your listless points were all bull n to caP it all up, u myopically quoted a bible verse to butteress ur ailing lines. So every one that commented on dis thread didn't read it huh? Poc, we all cudnt be as lazy as u r. N for ur info, spilling pseudo points to paint Polygamy in d right light is nothing but telling some1 to enjoy d world n gladly lose his SOUL! Just terribly wrong! N i wudnt have shown up if u didnt quote that bible verse out of context #herebyignored here on |

HARDDON:Please try and make sense cos you are not communicating. Im a freelance writer and I think outside the box. Polygamy is hated yet embraced by the world in a hypocritical manner and the ladies who claim to hate it practise it even more. If you can't counter those points just don't bother commenting. I'm tired of seeing baseless rhetorics. |
| Re: 13 hypocrisies and Idiosyncrasies of Polygamy by Toks2008(op): 11:13pm On Aug 18, 2016 |
Rukkydelta:Too funny and real....If only lalasticlala can understand the importance of this piece he will do the needful. The world deserves to know the idiosyncrasies behind polygamy and stop the hypocrisy. A world where a lady can date a married man but claims to hate polygamy. A world where a lady will leave her husband due to adultery just to end up as a second wife to another. A world where a lady discourages polygamy just for her to end up as a mistress or a second wife to another married man if by fate she loses her husband. The question is "who is fooling who" I'm not supporting or against polygamy..I wrote those vivid points for people to agree or disagree. |

LilTroy:The hypocrisy of humans and the immaturity of some nairalanders have made me look like someone from mars simply because i think outside the box and I write in a no holds bar manner. Everyone who lambasted me purposely looked away from the subject matter but gladly attacked me baselessly ....what a shame... |

I don't know how the op expect majority even on Front page to agree with you on this polygamy issue.. Not t even the Muslim sisters want it, but the reality is polygamy has come to stay, the men of God in the bible knew more than one woman legally or not and yet God didn't condemn or destroy them.. The problem is not t polygamy in itself, rather the individuals in it from the husbands to the wives and children involved.. Men who have no or little ingredients of a good and quality husband going into polygamy are the ones soiling and spoiling the society Most women out there have no fear of God, hence the bad wives and children in polygyny The hypocrisy there is we have more than one girl friend while still single, we have mistress outside marriage, ladies snatch or share married men and yet we condemn polygamy who is fooling who? I'm of the opinion that if you are fit as a man, not only financially though, no problem in delving into it if you WISH. |

Fkhalifa:This is the type of intelligent response expected from a sound mind. No one is compelled to agree with my submission but if you must disagree please do so without a low life attitude of cursing the writer or picking on his persona...that is my point. |

Toks2008:Oh, you are still talking? As per your last mention thay I was trolling, I decided to shut your shrill voice out. Anyways, as per your question, I would never advise someone else to marry an already married and still married man. A lifetime of unrest and unhappiness follows which simply is not worth the hassle. Can you now stop talking? This thread is definately NOT frontpage nound. |
| Re: 13 hypocrisies and Idiosyncrasies of Polygamy by Toks2008(op): 7:44am On Aug 20, 2016 |
Richiy:Apparently you are still basking in the euphoria of ignorance...when the time comes, you will remember this thread and appreciate it the more. And for the records, anytime i crave indulgence of lalasticlala, i do so because i believe i have a good piece to share...I dont write what people love to read but facts that goes on around us. I have a lady friend who is a 39 year old widow with 2 children and when she was telling me that in her life she has always talked down on polygamy but after her husband died, she tried her best to keep away from married men but most single guys are only interested in playing with her emotions and milking her finance but she latter found a married man who makes her happy and i was just confused as to what to tell her. It may make no sense to you now cos you dont picture yourself in that situation but for ladies who find themselves in such situation, they will relate to this better. There must have been a time when the likes of Funke akindele, Tiwa salvage, mercy johnson, mercy aigbe, stella damascus and so on would have raked about never marrying a married man but all these names mentioned actually married men who have not divorced their wives so please what can you make out of this? These are hard facts we get so hypocritical about yet it lives with us. |

Lalasticlala you need to read this and make up your mind as regards moving it to front-page for more people to contribute. |

I disagree with the Op because the world is way too overpopulated for polygamous marriage, we should be focusing on reducing the population, not increasing it ![]() |

| Re: 13 hypocrisies and Idiosyncrasies of Polygamy by Toks2008(op): 11:39pm On Oct 12, 2016 |
ItsQuinn:As long as your likes don't understand that there is a thin line between intellectual contribution and baseless sarcastic attacks then you will continue to have that problem. Only a fool gets angry if another disagrees with his or her stands but when it boils down to insults and childish attacks on the personality of the writer which you especially are fond of and i hope you have changed...As long as posters stick to the subject matter and avoid attacking the writer for stating his or her opinion then there will be no reason for bickering. Check the original response of the person you quoted and you will not agree less with me.. It is utterly childish, unintelligent and a clear sign of intellectual stuntedness to use vulgar words on another just because such expresses his or her opinion. |
