All of the complaints i have seen isn't about NDDC not paying the complete $30k, it's all about NDDC not giving them something extra. Exactly my sentiments... There is a thread for 2015 Scholars and they should go there and channel their displeasure... Inasmuch as I don't wanna appear selfish, But it is seeming selfishness on the part of some 2015 Scholars that we called out prior to now to come show us the path... Many of them disregarded our calls when we needed them to help only for them to surface now with many irrelevant analysis that won't tell us when the list will be out...

Our system is not perfect we know, some of us need the scholarship even in their imperfection while we continually challenge them on many reasons why they should seek perfection...

As for the unpaid balances, complain on the 2015 scholars thread, many of us are on that thread and we will still see it... No need dragging us and giving us more tension of what happens after now when the hypertension of the list is overweight for us to bear at the moment!

I think what prospective scholars should show right now is appreciation because the Journey the 2015 scholars are taking will subsequently benefit those of us that have the same ambition of getting an MSc. Through this same scheme.

I feel your pain. I have been in similar situation before and the only way we conquered was through DHL(I WILL TELL YOU WHY DHL)..
The method you have resorted to, in the name of "PROTEST" is not the best... By picking quarrel with the government via SOCIAL MEDIA, to 90% of Nigerians, they would see it as "PROPAGANDA" and just a handful would understand your plight...

This is my advice...

1. Send a COURIER-CONFIDENTIAL mail to the Acting MD, NDDC (CONFIDENTIAL/OFFICIAL should be written on the DHL parcel)
2. Send another COURIER-CONFIDENTIAL mail to whoever you think could take your case to the TOP...and see your result in the next 3-days. (COURIER IS AS POWERFUL AS CHARM)


YOUR MISTAKE:

You made a mistake when you protested to the NIGERIA HOUSE in London.
What you should have done is, book an appointment to meet with the High Commissioner (Ambassador), and iron out your issues to him. The Ambassador will then fight your fight and not you coming online to say bad about the government....YOU CANNOT FINISH THIS FIGHT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE GRACE OF GOD WITH YOU.

===> Every university has short courses they offer. See with your departmental heads.

Forget to go for shopping immediately you get in the UK. Work on yourself first, equip yourself professionally by doing
programs for the first few weeks. After training you can now use your gained skills to earn more for yourself.

Is only when you do a professional course then you can work as a professional and you could be paid 15pounds - and above
per HOUR. Anything not PROFESSIONAL dont expect much...

First of all the scholarship includes upkeep, but its the recipient determined. The idea is nddc pays school fees and send u the rest for upkeep, all within the 30kUSD. If your friend decided to go for an expensive school that took all his scholarship money, that means he knew he was gallant enuf to take care of himself. See the way u people are talking about working as if its all dat easy, esp wen u are schooling. Oh you think all this many people looking for their money are just lazy. People opted for cheap schools so they can get the change to cover bills. Its simply their money. Ask your friend, except his background is strong financially, he is probably in dept right now, or perhaps was in debt. Most people borrow to fund accommodation and other things before they travel, hoping on nddc paying their change for them to pay back. and nobody is saying anyone should be discouraged ooo @obsc. Dont be, I am also waiting for the list just like u, infact I am almost 100% certain I will get it because of the grace of God. Thank you for the information and contribution.We have done all these that you said except sending a confidential DHL.I communicated with the acting MD both on phone and e-mail severally within these period.Last month,they heard of our protest and sent us apology mail for delayed payment(i.e 10months after not paying).They have being telling us that they will pay soon since march this year.Also,they have promised to pay us in two weeks on at least 4 occasions and failed to fulfill their promise.My school wrote to them at least 8 times and sometimes they do not reply or simply say that they will pay soon me.Other people were also writing and calling them.We gave them an extra month to pay us but they did not before we protested yesterday..Some of us also sent our relatives to go to their headquarters in PH and lay complaints.The worst is that most times they are very hostile when we call.We also informed traditional rulers and eminent men from the region and various media houses but all proved abortive.We went to the high commission but nobody gave us a listening ear.We just had to use the last option cos we no fit die in silence....
We do not have any grudge against they FG,it is only God that NDDC management havent blamed for the non-payment.They have blamed TSA,CBN,Forex,even FG for introducing TSA etc.Meanwhile,PTDF which is also an agency of the FG pay their scholars as at when due..Is it not the same TSA and CBN that they use?It is disappointing not to pay people but more disappointing when one lies.They lied in their annual report published on their site that they have paid us.

Frankly,the worst that they can do is not to pay me which I will still fight for.My community have oil but I know how I traveled severally to write test for jobs in lagos and other places before I secured a job back home.I work hard for most things that I have gotten.But we pleaded with them to pay us using every diplomatic means possible but they never listened.Posterity will judge me if I keep quite in the face of grave injustice and inhumane treatment from these people.But I am happy cos they will not try this nonsense again to subsequent sets.People are making bad grades because of this their dastardly and unholy act.You can see that they are unrepentant with the way they are also handling 2016 scholarship.Why should you not release the names of successful scholars on time.when they release it usually in september,they will backdate it to july and tell you that you have to use it before six months starting from that july.People start going on borrowing spree.You are giving scholarship people from poor homes yet you wont give them a dime to facilitate them and when they come here you still withhold their entitlements.This is just wickedness of the highest order.

When they gave the scholarship they invited almost all the media houses.We never knew that they will turn it to 'suffership'.....Let them just do the right thing.Thank you

It is well. I heard from a former scholar that the letter is usually backdated to July and one is supposed to use it within 6 months so it's crazy and tragic the way things are in this country. I am not sure if they are waiting for the new board members to be inaugurated. Meanwhile the senate is on recess and the newbies are yet to be screened.
