President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is the second meeting between the two leaders since the allegation of budget padding was leveled against the Speaker and some principal officers by Abdulmumin Jibrin.

Jibrin was the former Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriation.

Dogara did not however disclose the purpose of his visit when approached by State House correspondents. He said, “I am on holiday.”

When asked when he would resume, Dogara said journalists were present when the House of Representatives adjourned.

When further asked if his visit was part of efforts aimed at mending fences with the President, the Speaker pointed to one of the lawmakers that accompanied him and said, “This man is a Senator from Bauchi State. He is not from the House of Representatives.”

His visit was to consolidate their agreement. Buhari is fully in it for real. That is why Dogara has boldly told the World that he has wronged no one even after admitting to have padded the budget, and there is nothing anyone can do to him. That boldness comes from someone who has the President at his back.
Soon their anti-corruption war will be vehemently directed to Jibrin alone to the admiration of their teaming zombies while Dogara enjoys his loot in peace.

This Abdulmumin is jst another loose cannon! This guy was the appropriation chairman, the buck of budget ends on his table, morever this same guy was on channel tv defending every part of the budget he was questioned about and went ahead on thesame program disparaging executives that they can only present estimates and NASS presents the budget. If he had not lost out, he would have been there telling every ear that listens that the budget was not padded. Jibrin should stop disturbing our peace pls.

Why is he meeting Dogara privately for the 2nd time?
This is a man accused of fraud in the budget process.A man that refused invitation by the police.
Y won't PMB tell him to stay clear and allow the anti- corruption agencies do their job for God's sake.
Is this how to fight corruption?This is a wrong message being sent by the so called anticorruption fighter and a supposed man of integrity.
The same way the same president allowed himself to be used and disgraced by Saraki on day of NASS inauguration is the same way he is allowing a 'small boy' Dogara to be using him like a toy,haba!

yes it has, i am happy PMB is becoming politically aware that you dont fight battles in all fronts. it will be foolhardy to go into battle with the Senate and House all inca bid to get the speaker, this is what pdp wants and i thank God Pmb is wiser for it.
