Tribalism. I'm in a dept dominated by yoruba guys. They speak language in the office like no man's business. even the so called 'head of unit' uses yoruba to communicate official things to his clique. i've complained and nothing has being done about. i dont really know what to do.

You can speak to your supervisor about it. If it falls on deaf ears, write to your HR department to address the issue.

This is the major challenge with most so called white collar jobs in this clime.....
I would suggest that you start first by improving yourself in your chosen Field, there are a lot of trainings online that you can take in your spare time say on your way to work or on your way back from work.

Then you can pursue a change of job. I don't know what line of work you are in, to better help with specific solution.

Banking, that's nice...... Then you will do well making a change to IT, say... A branch such as Business Intelligence (BI).

Believing that numbers are not going to pose a challenge and you must have known how to perform basic computer functions, then I think Business Intelligence will be just right for you.

Basically, Business Intelligence entails the capturing, analysing and reporting of large data. It is one of the lucrative branches of IT and involves the ability to use properly, basic data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel and on a more technical level, a host of BI softwares.

Now to the most beautiful part, you can get all the trainings you need online for free - YouTube is your friend this time - and the employers most times seek just practical knowledge to help land you the job but with your degree I believe.

Go check it out and tell me what you think.
