I have read about 2-3 when I was in secondary school but can't really remember the title, but there's one I can't forget "If you believe this, you will believe anything"! I really love his books, I don't mind if I can get any. Or is there any link to download them. I was reading one with something on jewellery robbery which included a lady that can't do without chocolates, I can't really recall the title but I couldn't finish the novel. 1 Like |

I have read all his books. I repeat all his books. When we were kids, the books were selling for one Naira per copy. The publishers Fagbamige publishers had the copyright in Nigeria in those days so the books were readily available to anyone who wanted to buy and read them. Those were the good old days in this country. At times I go on the internet to re-read some of these books. A wonderful thriller writer who wrote thriller books about America but never once visited America. 3 Likes |

bullseye90: The seventies. Some of the Chase novels were actually written in the thirties but they are so timeless that they could have been written today. 3 Likes |

@ Stevostical, I think the novel you're referring to is most likely to be 'The Paw in the Bottle' also by James Hadley Chase. It's a very interesting thriller and am sure you won't want to put it down until you finish reading it. I've also read quite a few of his novels, at least they won't be less than fifty, if not more than that. I started reading them from early 90s, 1992 to be precise, when i was still working in Lagos, Oshodi. I'm still looking for more titles including those that I have read and forgotten. In fact, I recently downloaded some titles on the net few weeks ago. Although the titles there aren't many but they are still something. I will try and post the link here for those who are interested. Cheers. sekesi2009@yahoo.com 2 Likes |
