We all knew the story was a fabrication but it's good that the presidency had quickly put a lie to it. The Sun newspaper and other platforms that published the fake news should be ashamed of themselves. The media should publish factual stories after rigorous investigation and not lies that can easily be discovered and denied.

Now, I'm just against the fact that he makes it appear as if he is autonomous. As the spokesman, he should have first hand authorization from the presidency to speak on the matter. The checks is just like he was acting on his own volition. As if he wanted to be sure of what he was hearing. That doesn't speak well of a close-knit governance.

Sanusi was instrumental in Buhari coming to power in 2015.

In his bid to demonize Jonathan government, and make way for a president of northern extraction, Sanusi as CBN governor suddenly raised a false alarm that $50 billion were missing from Jonathan's appointees. Sanusi later reviewed the amount to $40 billion, later to $20 billion.
There were no such missing amount of money, actually.

The International community and Nigerians started to detest Jonathan from that point added to Chibok kidnap.

A few days to the last presidential election, Sanusi ganged up with Muslim/Iranian born Christian Amanpour of CNN and both of them did a most blatant falsehood campaign on CNN against Jonathan and his crew.

Professor Soludo was also instrumental in Buhari coming to power.

During the last presidential election campaign, Soludo delivered a most blistering attack on Jonathan's appointee and Finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla.

That attack from Soludo on Jonathan government helped win too many then

His official name known to Nigeria is Sanusi, not Sunusi. Not even up to 5% of Nigerians are Hausa.
