It's used on babies who refused to eat, or do u expect them to allow their babies starve to death simply because they don't want to force-feed them?.... there's really Nothing bad in it as long as it allows the baby eat.

Yorubas are expert at it. They invented it and since I left Lagos, I have never seen where it is used on kids.

I guess some ppl still feed their babies this way which is really cray IMO but it can be so exasperating watching ur little one reject food for a protracted period of time. N it's not just pap milk being served without milk. For babies that have been exclusively breastfed for 6 months, their taste buds need time for adjustment even for imported cereals ( Personal experience)
