There is no road work going on in the said location, I left Obudu Cattle Ranch today, went through Vandeikya in Benue State to see someone. Then went through Gakem - Abuochichie, Ogoja and had to go through Abakaliki in Ebonyi State cause the no road through Ikom to Calabar. All in the bit to locate Calabar. Cross River is totally cut off from the rest of Nigeria.

I don't think the previous govt ever construct a km road in BORNO state through out the six years in power under the guise of insecurity in NE. Presently the situation has reverse politically(left the southern to the nitherner) and insecurity leaving (the North to south)but it didn't deterred PMB from executing project in a state/region dominated and ruled by his political enemy. same situation different approach.

the construction of that road has began over 2years ago yet they have not done up to 10km....this the pix of accident that happened on that road on 7th of august 2016..

BTW . You're right about the state being cut-off from the rest of the country ..the roads have been that way for at least 3.5 decades.
Glad you went through Abakaliki because you'd have slept on that road...on a regular day it will take you between 5-6 hours to travel from Ogoja to Calabar or vice verse.
We tell the proponents of a bogus state concept who lumped us together that we have nothing in common with the Efiks or those down in Calabar but they won't hear.

Ogoja is one of the oldest provinces left from the old regional govt in this contraption called a Nigeria that a state has not been created from.

How do you explain the fact that you will arrive Abuja quicker from Ogoja if you set out the same time with anybody going to Calabar .

My kins-men now fly to Enugu , then travel by road through the revamped Ebonyi- Ogoja road and in no time they re home.

If indeed they're fixing that Ndok junction road to Ogoja then the trip from Ebonyi will even be faster.

The other madness I hear about is the rapacious Governor of cross river state announcing He wants to build a super high way from Calabar to the north with Wifi services etc as if that is priority for such a very poor state when He should be articulating a very clear plan for repairing the old road once and for all and then divert attention to helping the people build on their agrarian culture by helping them with agric loans etc and food processing industries...
His garment industry in the city is good but diversifying efforts so the grass root / rural people will reap some benefits will be a better deal for a people who hardly feel the impact of governance from the center ....my 50 cents.

I m an Ogoja man, It is d state Emergency Road Maintanance Agency dat is rehabilitating d road by scraping off worn parts n replacing dem or patching dem with coal tar n also filling d potholes n not construction as reported. Actually d distance covered is not as long as Mararaba to Nyanya in Abuja.

I. Don't. Care. All I know and all I see is constant progress. There has been a consistent and transparent momentum. People who haven't been paid for contracts going on 3 years have been brought back to the site. With limited funds we are seeing tangible projects being executed. I'm not going to complain about honest efforts. This government isn't perfect but they are honest and they are doing their best. With time things will continue to improve.

How many projects didn't receive the counterpart funding? How many accounts became slush funds? How did repatriated money go missing? Dasukigate? Need I go on?
