No. The war against BH was fought in the SE.

Tell me why eastern food products were not taken to biafrans dying of starvation and you have your answer.

The East depends on the North for supply of your most vital food items. QED.

You can go on a food strike to protest if you hate the fact.
let me also make it clear to your empty skull. 90% of vegetable oil being consumed in north is exported 4rm south east. Yes north produce groundnut oil but it barely makes 5% of total vegetable oil in the mrkt nd vry expensive. Most vegetable oils ur seing in d mrkt are made of palm kernel. Mostly produced in east. Chikason, canopy oil et al. Go and do your findings. Eg come to canopy vegetable oil depot @ onitsha and see trailer loads of vegetable oil exported to north

Am i suprised? I know that you will jump in and defend his ass.
Maybe ur imo state are not Good in agriculture but Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra have very fertile land and are good in agriculture.
Imo is the biggest Cassava producer and that is about the only major food Southeast is sufficient in production. We import yams from the North especially Benue State.

Okorocha never said what you are using to condemn him but I know the South generally are food deficient by a large percentage. You can tell from the food markets like Rumuokwurusi/Oil Mill and Slaughter /Zoo in Port Harcourt where 90% of food items sold there arrive from the North.

Stop lying pls, what a lie. Which imo? Imo is not that good in agriculture.
Abia esp.Ngwa or Itu in Bende or Ikwuano are well known in large scale Cassava/Garri production.

oga stop lying pls be factual nd empercal. How does south east depends on north 4 maize/corn? I bet you have'nt been to south east b4. South east depends on north 4 groundnut oil, bt do u knw how many trailers load of vegetable 4rm south east that goes to north every day? Let's not talk about palm oil, have you heard about iyo yam cultivates in otuocha and odekpe both in anambra state? Have you been to ose mrkt b4 @ onitsha whre tones of yam and other food stuffs is daily brought in from otuocha and ebonyi? Infat do north know what garri production is or melon, ogbono, ugba, plantain, potato, ukwa? These are foods consume most by eastherners. Next time bro do your research well b4 coming online to vomit wastes from your mouth
Maybe you should heed your own advise, don't you think so?

Now water melon is mostly grown in the northern part of Nigeria.

Potatoes? You're a joke! Potatoes are grown majorly up north.

And as for garri, news was sometime in 2013 that Nasarawa State has overtaken many other states of the federation in the mass production of cassava.

As for maize/corn, don't even attempt to argue in the face of facts.

How much yam exactly is being farmed in Anambra? I live in Awka, and have covered almost every part of the state. And if you believe that a state of 1,870 sq mi of total area, 2/3rd of which isn't put to farm production can boss an entire region in yam production, then you're beyond description.

Your yams ship in from Benue and Plateau States on a daily basis. Go to the market and ask those guys offloading marked yams where they brought them from. That you stage yam festivals doesn't exactly mean that you are self sufficient in its production.

Try leaving your region once, maybe, then you will have a better outlook to life.

The stats are there but the question remains are the North feeding the SEners? Given that there are viable lands in SE and all of the daily cusin of SEners are prepared mostly with produce that sourced locally.

The fact that these locally sourced item are not produced and exported does not mean that they are imported.

Can you list the everyday food of the SEners and tell me the states they are imported from?

That Nassarawa has overtaken other states in cassava production does not mean their excess production are being shipped to the east. It could have shipped to other northern states to cater for the shortfall there.

You are not making any sense.

Here are the stats here, and I doubt they could have changed significantly: https://www.nairaland.com/2522113/omitted-truth-debunking-lies...nigeria-states

Even if for once, we accept the lie that the SE source most of her staple food from the North, how exactly does that translate to the North feeding SE? Do they give the food to SE for free?

If anything, it's the SE that feeds them, cos we buy the food from them from our hard earned money, and so have the option of buying from somewhere else other than the North, the North on the other hand won't be able to find another customer easily and so will be forced to waste their perishable produce due to poor storage system, their farmers will suffer, should Ndiigbo pull out from buying their produce.

So. It's the other way round. Igbo buyers feed Northern farmers.

Do you not consume tomatoes, groundnut oil, beef, onions, pepper, and sugar daily in the SE? Or are your stews made with just water, fish and palm oil? Not to mention beans, corn and millet for the Akamu and Akara your kids grow on? Are sugar canes grown in Aba?

Grow up there's no point arguing with facts.

you are either advertising your ignorance or engaging in delibrate distortion of facts to suit your over bloated ego. The truth is that beans is the only semi-essential food we get from the north. Most the commodities you listed are either not essential or also produced in the east (even more than north). Majority of the cooking oil used in the east is vegetable oil which is sourced from palm, while others are imported. You hardly find groundnut oil in common markets in the east. Even in the north they are not easy to get by. Also the red oil used in the east and north is produced in the east. You simply cant come to terms with the fact that your groundnut industry has collapsed. Again, only someone under the influence of drugs will say that the east rely on north for pepper as it is produced in the east in large quantity. People easily grow it in their homes. Tomato as a comodity has alternative. Aside from the imported ones, people make local stews with palm, which is why the scarcity of tomatoes was not felt much. You even had to insinuate in your that we rely on you for corn. That is either a height of delusion or shows that you havent left your enclave before. Coming to meat, it has alternative 'cos there is fish, goat, chicken etc fishes grown locally are now everywhere. even the beef you boast with can't be said to be produced in the north because the grazing is done in the east. The east produce more essential commodities than north. From cassava to yam to rice to vegetable and then oil. When we say the north is almost useless it is not exergeration. You come online to boast with agriculture while millions are dying in the north and idp camps of starvation and malnutruition.

what exactly do you mean by pepper? Mr man, it is a common garden product in the South East.
Sugar? It is not a food. Btw we have foreign investorz sugars in Nigeria.
Tomato, Onions? Yes I agree.
Groundnut oil? Which groundnut oil?
See this guy o. Is it those 2 by 2 pepper behind ur backyard that is sold in big baskets in ur market. There is no region in Nigeria that pepper can't the cultivated in Nigeria but the north produce it in commercial quantity. Those ones u buy in the market are not the little ones planted behind ur house. The same goes for tomato..
