dee95:If you can reprint, just do so. Don't give them a chance to try anything funny. It could seem like you're not sure of the information you're giving since you already did the same online and you're now putting something different on paper. Just my opinion |

Cc Justwise and other gurus in d house A friend wanted to apply for student visa and he overworked in his previous student visa. He had stayed outside UK for more than a year. He is afraid of being refused on general grounds. Should he state in his application that he breached his previous immigration rule bearing in mind that he has been outside UK for more than a year. Pls your urgent response is highly needed. Thanks in advance |

Thyme2fly:Before applying for a new tier 4 visa I think key questions would be asked as to sincere purpose of going to the UK; there is the clause of progression that would be put into consideration, is the course at a higher level than his previous course or at the same level. If it is at the same level then I believe given the circumstances, the ECO would consider if the applicant has genuine reasons to come back for study. If it is at a higher level, then maybe the genuine nature of his intentions may be considered. With regards to stating he overworked.. that will be shooting his/herself in the leg as he is obviously stating he intentionally went against the rules .. what would suggest he wont do the same if granted another visa?... There is no section stating you should reveal that he went against the work rules on his prior so my suggestion would be avoid stating it if he/she still wants to take the risk of applying...Future advise to others granted visas, please dont contravene the terms of your visas to avoid this kind of situation; you may want to go back sometime in the future for further studies ![]() |

I think your friend could take the chance to apply... Just avoid stating you overworked.. its shooting yourself in my opinion. Moreover nowhere on the application requests you reveal that kind of information. This is what I think shaa.. others may have a contrary opinion. Goodluck with the PhD. Thyme2fly: |

Whatamidoinghere:The good thing about Jan admission is that you are more likely to be given 18months visa unlike Sept that is 16months. |
| Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by OlowoB(m): 12:45pm On Sep 02, 2016 |
Thyme2fly:Don't ever state in your application that you overworked as a student (this is my opinion). I have once also over worked and reapplied in the UK and got my visa. This is not to say that overworking as a student is a good thing but trust me, you are not the first nor the last. Try as much as possible to avoid such a situation in future. answer all other questions sincerely. I don't even think that there is any place on the tier 4 visa application form where you will be asked if you over worked as a student (for someone who has already gotten a visa in time past), they will only ask for your NI number and thats all. Who knows, they may check or may not check your past history as a student. Apply and hope for the best. cheers |

Hey guys, how you all doing? Please have you guys heard of afrotradegroup? Just got to know about it from the Student Union President at Coventry Uni.,and he told me a couple of them over there receive money through the transfer agency. I had to go through the site and put a call across to the office in the UK to get a few info. From the info I got from the President and the Office aswell, you register free on the platform and if u wana send money, u fill a form on the site and pay in the Naira amount while the Pounds equivalent is paid into your UK account after confirmation. As at today, the office informed me that their rate is 517 to a pound which is way better than the black market rate of 535 as at this afternoon. From the look of things, getting a PTA seems almost impossible and using the Mastercard with the whole limit issue is worrisome. So I wana ask those in the UK, have u also heard of afrotradegroup? Does it seem a good deal? cc: Justwise, OlowoB, MrsF, MrsDaniels, Chucksbenin |
