should I add water again

.....pour a small amount of olive oil into the ear....it wld kill the insect and prevent it moving around...then after a while add a little amount of warm water then tilt ur ear and shake ur head...the insect shld come out now....dont hit ur ear and dont use any tool or cotton bud...u wld just end up pushing it inside....

Cotton swabs should be banned as they have done more harm to our ears than good ..

Ggggggrrrhhh!!! The feeling of an insect in my ear scares me already .. The discomfort would be unbearable...

Manage and sleep tonight, and hit the hospital tomorrow to see an ENT doctor..

Stop the self medication before you damage your drum, and don't forget to fling your swabs ..

That shit gave me sleepless nights from Wednesday to Friday..

lot of jokers on Nairaland,sorry dear...I know how u feel..well in my own case I poured water and it kept making buzz noise inside.... I resorted to prayers and God helped me to sleep,however I faced d affected ear down...on waking up...I saw d insect dead.,note:I went to pluck fruit and d insect entered my ear..,sorry

I'm not a doctor but just want to give this advice because if it was me I would use same method. It won't be wise for you to kill it inside there especially if it's big else it would decay there and that won't be nice too and could cause infection. I would say scare it out of the place by putting a grease that has menthol there like aboliki not that you should put it directly but put it on cotton stick and insert it in like you want to remove ear wax. I think the menthol will make it to look for an escape root and find its way back out. Or bend the ear downward and beat it gently.

I've had an insect in my ear b4. It was irritating. I felt all the crawling.
What I did was not safe and I don't recommend you do it.
I cut the tip of a short broom stick and meticulously use it to stir the insect out
. Make sure the broom stick is a smooth one at the edge so as not to Pierce ur ear drum. Use it to press the insect to the wall of ur ear till it dies. Then gradually and carefully draw it out with Broom stick.
Please, be carefully o. Make sure no one is near u to avoid any accident.
Don't with use cotton bud or match stick. It will only push it further. The olive oil is good too. Or a fairly hot water. Anything to kill the insect fast is what you need.

.....it has nothing to do wit cleaning ears or not....its sometin that can happen even while someone is asleep....

Sleep placing d ear directly on d surface of d bed
Also see a ENT specialist tomorrow

Piriton(Chlorphenamine) if any, should ease off likely itching sensation and put him to sleep

I added hydrogen peroxide earlier.... the insect isn't moving as frequently as before but it's still not letting me sleep. I'll visit a doctor tomorrow I just need something to help me get through the night...

I think it's not as deep as t was earlier.. when it moved currently it doesn't disturb as it did earlier

I remember when I was little and an ant entered my ear, a drop of ogogoro(dry gin) was poured into d ear and left there for some minutes and Later I turned my ear down to allow the gin pour out and the ant came out with it dead....so u can try the gin if u have any.

Op...never ever put anything in your ears. Your ears supposed to have wax inside to prevent such insects from causing any damage or living in your ears. By morning it would be dead... or find its way out. If you are the "clean type" that be digging out the wax..... you really have a problem.

Put vaseline in your ear. it should cause the insect to begin to suffocate and try to come out. Pears baby oil should do just fine too I think

Yours is even better that u can read and type your phone ,wen it happened to me some years back I couldn't concentrate on anything ,I can't sit I can't stand ,I couldn't face up or down ,I was moving ,jumping ,adding all sort of things to my ear it was just like the something will take my life that day .lucky after an hour the movement stopped.

......you are probably not aware that by looking for an escape route, the insect can wander deeper into the inner ear.....

Just pour a little chiilled water inside ur ear den sleep one side or u take a bath in side a pool make sure u sink urself inside d water den shake ur ear dats it
