A Corp member serving in Rivers State, Dayo, according to a Facebook user, drowned on August 27th after he accidentally slipped off a boat while boarding a jetty to the community where he was serving.

rip corper. This calls for great concern to the Nigerian govt as well as the NYSC that subject young Nigerian graduates to an untold hardship scheme call the NYSC without making adequate provision for INSURANCE. Lets fight for the right of every corp member. NO INSURANCE NO SERVICE.

This is sad. May God grant his soul an eternal rest & give the family he left behind the courage to bear the painful loss.

RIP. But NYSC really need to be reviewed. No health insurance for serving corpers. I remember a friend nearly lost his life due to scorpion bite when serving in Zamfara. Hospitals are literally not well equipped.

scrap NYSC. Its a waste of time and resource. The National youth integration thing isn't working. Nigeria is still as divided as ever.
