You might just be saying, it's still an ignorant thing to say.
Never mind that it's illegal under South African law to sell arms to non-state actors like Hamas, do you think Netanyahu and the Mossad would pass up an opportunity to stick it to the ANC?

If that was SA's policy Chad, Rwanda and Sudan would be burning with well armed and trained rebels running out.

There's no such thing as not disclosed here in SA. Libya bought Truvelo sniper rifles.
There was a flood of orders for the NTW after the "pink mist" heroics against M23 in the DRC. Me, I suspect Turkey who cosied up to Hamas after their dust up with the Israelis.
Ratels we sold to Jordan ended up in Yemen; Elands we sold to Belgium ended up in Morocco, Tchad and Senegal; Y3 AGLs we sold to UAE ended up with the Kurds via the so-called Free Syrian Army who were more interested in turning a profit than putting them to use in the field.

Has your BIR received all 12 of the Ratels you ordered from SA? Some pics would be nice.

Comprehension not your strong suit? I told you Libya bought Truvelo, and therefore could not be the source for the NTW-20 in Hamas' possession.

With many countries on our continent in the process of benchmarking and establishing SF capability I believe there's a market for this type of vehicles.
I agree. The Reva FAV is also my kind of SF vehicle. Adequate protection were it has to have, and still has a low silhouette, light enough to be air transportable. A C-130 should be able to carry 3 units.

Henry and the Reva FAV! Apparently 4 of them can squeeze onto a Herc, same as the Hornet. However, it only carries half the men (4), won't handle 20mm. Still, it works for the job it's designed for, raids, search & rescue and reconnaissance. They should do something about a weapons mount for the commander. I suppose we'll have to wait for feed-back from the cousins with the units they're currently testing.
Would love to see it in service with the Paras.

I myself am partial to the REVA Scout, though it blatantly ripped the OTT Hunter. (At least Supacat ripped the concept and produced a different vehicle with the Jackal for the British cousins). I've warmed to the Scout cos I'm told it can be up-armoured (bolt-on) when the mission demands it, plus the considerable firepower one can send downrange: 20mm cannon, 40mm AGL, anti-tank missiles, 60mm mortar.

Nigeria establishes a helicopter maintenance centre

The Nigerian Air Force has established a helicopter maintenance depot under the aegis of its Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services (AETS) venture, local media reported on 6 September.

The development will reportedly eliminate the requirement to send the military's rotary-wing aircraft abroad for routine servicing and maintenance.

Nice to see we keep carrying out multiple exercises each year. We can only get better with continuous non-stop training, and field experience.

The Reva FAV is a properly built recon/SF vehicle. It's like the Hornet, only more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I love it, i just wish we could get a sizeable number of units for Nigerian SF teams. Four(4) is the appropriate number for a recon vehicle, anything more than that, then the user should instead invest in an M-ATV or Plasan Sandcat.

It is properly armed, properly protected, air-droppable designed to do a job, can also do convoy protection, VIP protection. It doesn't need to handle a 20mm, that's overkill. A 14.5mm or 12.7mm is very appropriate. I'm sure the weapons mount for the commander isn't an issue, that's something that can be added. I'm just surprised at how simple the build is. I'm sure the Namibians would get a couple units. They got a very small, very progressive military.

I am biased towards the Reva FAV, I'm not a fan of vehicles like the Supacat or Reva Scout or Hunter. They blow up the idea of SF in flames. They are supposed to be scout vehicles, but i don't see how you can properly scout the enemy while looking as large as an elephant in the savannah. The Reva FAV fits the mould of what that sort of vehicle needs to do, i mean look at the French and their Panhard VBL in Operation Serval, and how effective those vehicles where.

The Reva FAV can be armed with an AGL, you can hit targets 2km away with a blast radius of up to 10 meters. It is armoured and comes with a ballistics shield for the primary gunner. Which is very important, unlike what we've seen with European/American vehicles. It is not a first line of attack, that's what Tanks, IFVs and MRAPs are there for.

Anti-tank, 60mm, 40mm defeats the purpose of a scout vehicle. If i were a policy maker, side by side, i'll go for the FAV over the Scout or Hunter.

Our PF vehicles, the Leopard, serves the same role. However my issue with the PF Leopard is it's complete armour capsule. Too much armour, and no subsequent surveillance tech to follow, would severely damage situational awareness.

For the PF Leopard, we need to remove quite a number of armour.

AAD 2016 should begin already, let's see the vehicles by Africans for the African market. I hope we get to see new vehicles.

The PF2 Leopard (Pictured left), is a similar type vehicle. However, because of too much armour, it looks quite heavy. A more streamlined vehicle like the SF vehicle in the last photo is a decent place to start.

If we can lose the armour in the top half of the PF2, increase ground clearance, we would have a decent Recon vehicle.

Barking up the wrong tree dude.
That's NOT a NTW-20. Look again.
Carry handle is too small and the wrong shape where it attaches. They just copied it.
BTW India makes a bad knockoff of the NTW-20.

60mm mortars, AGLs an 20mm cannons are effective in raiding missions.

ATGMs are also essential as you can see recently western sf units in the middle east avoid going around with them.

If the Turks make a move closer to the coast we may see them though
