My wifey has got an interview for Nigerian visa on the 12th of September but the federal government called for a public holiday. The embassies of Nigeria work for the FG so hereby I reckon they will observe the holiday too but not sure if all countries do. Because I doubt embassy in the Saudi Arabia will observe the Easter holiday.

Anyway I need urgent and concrete advise.

They will be closed for the public holiday. They will also be closed for the public holiday of the country they reside. For example, Nigerian Embassy in the USA will be closed on all Nigerian public holidays as well as American public holidays.

Including emergency and previously planned ones are observed by all nigeria embassies and high commissions regardless of the country they are in. They are an extension of the government of nigeria.

It will observe Nigerian govt holidays & Host holidays meaning when there is Nigerian Federal holidays on Monday & Tuesday; the embassy will observe it and if Saudi govt declares their Wednesday as its own holiday they have to observe it also remember those clerks have families in Nigeria so it's time that can be used to reconnect with their family member.
