The great University of Benin popularly known as Uniben, is amongst Nigeria’s first generation of federal Universities established in 1971.
The first advice any secondary school graduate would receive when he/she announces about gaining admission into a university in Naija is “Some pass through the walls of a university while others allow the university pass through them, therefore pick ye today where ye would belong.”

Those words echoed in my ears all through my 4 years on campus and these were our experiences which aren’t just perculiar to Uniben students but to all Nigerian university graduates.
