Black market rate determines the conversion. How many kilos are you looking at buying?
Re: Going Further With Sack Farming by dmz1: 9:50am On Jul 08, 2016
Oga pavore9 I would need like 2kg maximum.

Do you have anyone coming down to Nigeria from Kenya because paying for courier will be high as the cheapest courier is about $50 per kilo. Though l will be on the look out for who may be travelling down as one only has to pay $5 per kilo for the excess luggage.

I do not know of anyone like that. I will have to rely on you to send it through any traveler to Nigeria as courier is too expensive. how will the money be sent?

Oh my God Pavore9 y'all made my day with this and i'm gonna shock you a bit regarding that video.I'm deadly serious ,not kidding .

1) Those folks in the video are my actual relatives i've been to that homestead.

2) That lady ,Mama Kamau,is tentatively due to visit University of Southern Indiana in USA at the invitation of their school of nutrition to teach them urban farming using bags.Funding for her trip is just awaiting approval by the department chairperson.

I'm gonna scan and actually post here some agri-magazine where she's on the cover that she sent to me here in Atlanta,Georgia.

Yup they're my relatives ,thats true from kangemi to Evansville,Indiana a trip she never ever envisioned its a wild dream trip for her.

The thing is poor folks here eat unheathy due to lack of supermarkets selling vegies and fruits in poor neighborhoods(especially black neighborhoods)The university saw this sack farming as healthy for such urban junk food addicts to get better nutrition.

Ok. You have really inspired me with this "sack farming" thing o. I have done some research and seen some youtube videos and Kenyans are really leading the way with it.

Do you know how one can get training here in Nigeria?

There are many Nairalanders who are already into it, some even created threads of their sack farms. Get in touch with them for farm visits..
