Maybe they agree to share the house rent as it falls due?
Maybe they buy the Radio, when the guy has tried and bought the OLED TV?

Until we start seeing such things happening and becoming "normal" (as against just a 'one-off' thing), we can only take your claim with a pinch of salt.

If you're so educated and successful and privileged, why do you hold such a narrow view on something that people of the world should try to address?
