No, mister. I am disappointed that some people are mocking the man for putting his thought into words concerning the unexpected discovery. Western propaganda feed on every negative in developing nations. There is no gain saying Nigeria aviation is pathetic, but such rare abnormalities cannot trivialised by the Heathrow airport authority in such manner

God bless you! Nigerians don`t label Nigeria a developed nation and Nigerian newspapers don`t make it their pre-occupation to point out every negative of London. Always the case that, if you point out what is wrong with their country, they become angry. They should be doing that with the villagers of Africa that see them as almighty. The only thing that makes London better than Nigeria is that Obasanjo and Babangida were not born there.

If it were a foreigner who made such about an airport in Nigeria all of you woulda gathered to hurl insults at that person
No, they would have blamed Buhari and not the foreigner. They would praise or sympathise with the foreigner, and hurl invectives at the authority

You are the one who believes nothing negative happens in developing nations. There are crimes, dilapidation, and much more. I can't fathom whoever preached that to you. Especially when we have the internet. The point is, Nigerians are quick to point out the flaws in other countries when they should be silent considering how horrible their country is. The frequency of abnormality in the country is almost incompatible to normal standards. And it is normal to them. I don't know about you but if i know i'm a phucked up, i don't go about criticizing other people. I try to fix myself before i can talk.

No country is perfect is a truism and incontrovertible. I have always known this ,first hand. I need no one to tell me that. That guy probably knows this too, but was amazed to see this at a point of entry. On a daily basis, we are inundated with how poor our infrastructures are. We normally take them in good faith, because they are evident to everyone. Why would they find it undesirable when it happens to them? Oh, just because he is a Nigerian. No matter how much you try to fix yourself, you'll still remain the brunt of criticisms by the unsparing western media. He did not criticize, but simply raised an observation which the proud could not ignore or accept.

I don't think you read what the guy wrote. He did not criticize, he was happily pointing fingers at another country's misfortune. You criticize something so that the thing becomes better. This is what he said, "For some reason, i was quite "HAPPY" to see a a roof leaking at heathrow airport". Really? He was happy to see another countries mistake/misfortune. And Nigerians have not tried to fix their country. They haven't even started to scratch the surface yet. Show me evidence of where, when, and how they have tried?

My point is, they goofed the moment they allowed an isolated statement go answered in the most cheeky way possible. Why do you think he experienced that feeling of happiness? The answer lies in the irresponsible response they eventually gave, lending credence to their disparaging attitude towards us

My point is they answered the way they did because the guy was "happy" because of the their mistake/oversight. This was why they said it was intentionally done to make him happy.

That change is not possible in Nigeria at the moment. Why? Because of the way Nigerians think. You all don't know it but collectively, Nigerians don't think like normal people. Now in other normal countries, you have people who think abnormally too but the normal ones outnumber them. That is the problem in Nigeria. The abnormal ones outnumber the normal ones. One voice cannot change it. They will just kill you.

Too sure that a single natural-born leader can change all that. Margaret Thatcher once said that a woman would not be Prime Minister in the UK in her life-time, she bacame the PM before that decade ran out. One man`s obstacle is another man`s stepping stone.

I don't think you understand the reply. It was an insult.

We can call it an insult, but it sounds foolish. They actually felt they could play smart, but someone like me won't buy it. How on earth would they have done that to make him happy? Did they deliberately damage the roof? Did they arrange for rain to fall while he would be at the airport? This is what happens when we (blacks) conclude in our heart that they (white) are special brand of humans. Go and check those who come out with the best results abroad (masters particularly)!
Re: Heathrow Airport Replies Nigerian Over Leaking Airport Roof In London by willibounce1(m): 7:58pm On Sep 16, 2016
Well maybe they are just saying the buckets were arranged to avoid getting the floor messy. At least that should make people happy.

I don't think the reply was to shade the guy that complain, because if it was, then it doesn't make any sense.

They didn't deny that the roof was leaking and buckets arranged to collect the water and it impossible for the airport to intentionally make the roof leak just because they want a Nigerian to complain and then shade him.... makes no sense

This is how to criticize in this situation. "@ management of Heathrow airport; You might not be aware of this, but i just noticed a leak in your roof at the airport today. You might want to get your maintenance unit on it immediately. It looks bad considering the reputation you have". You see what i did? I pointed out a deficiency in their building and made a recommendation on how they could fix it as well as making sure they understood the consequences of leaving the building as it is. Now when someone is pointing out a flaw in your system or what you are doing by making fun of you, how would you respond to it? His bad belle got the accurate response. A well deserved witty, back handed retort. Since the guy is used to bad things happening in Nigeria, they did not want to disappoint him. And Nigerians are a special brand of human beings. You can see how special by the society they have created for themselves.

There is no media propaganda, it happens everywhere but the difference is maintenance and how quick they fix it.

Or are you trying to say Heathrow and MMA are same maintained at same level?

In the UK roads go bad as well same as Nigeria, the difference is how quick it is fixed and the steps taken to maintain them.

Of course ,it happens everywhere..don't be fooled by media propaganda
