They are just the chief servants of the Caucasian powers, and anytime they just take orders from above and are given minimal opportunity of carrying out local decisions, any time they attempted to question their orders from above, the consequences have always been acute and fatal, Mutala and Abacha as examples.
They are chief servants, that can hardly translate to real political power in internationally arena, and this is why Nigeria will continue to underachieve.

Simple Northerners understand the power of a united front- What so many people fail to realize is that once it comes to National politics, the direction of the North is always a strong united direction. This makes them have their way all the time. Unlike in the south where infighting, backstabbing, envy, and so on go on. You will definitely agree with me that this is where the Northerners are ahead of the south despite the latter's claim of western enlightenment. A very good example is the recently concluded Ondo APC and PDP primaries. Not in the north where everyone sees the other as his brother irrespective of political affiliations.
