Hello Nairalanders, I'm a 100lvl Student in a University based in the North,I have suffered so much to get admission which I value so greatly...God so good I was given a course I grew to like, but the school unfortunately released our supplementary list about 4 months after the 1st list was released so I came only to find out exams was just few weeks away, I resumed late my parents had to sweat out my fees, I wrote all de exams but I didn't know anything in some my prerequisite... I studied hard but only for me to find a CGP of 1.65 last semester (with 3 CO's, one due to a not registered course) , I'm ready to work hard come this 200h lvl but my question is Should I restart 100 lvl or can I still graduate with a 2nd class upper that I seek despite this poor performance in 100lvl.

Mine was 1.86 at 200L, though no CO's. Though one can argue I was helped by the 5yr duration

My person,abeg start 100 again,sometimes ur 1st gp determines ur final gp..ask mapites they'll tell u

Read smarter and pray harder. U can make it if u believe and can also jack like say tomorrow no dey.

It depends on the University. Different University with different marking scheme. If its Delta state University you are in trouble, if its UNIBEN thank God. All the same you can still make a second class lower but ur gonna burst ur a$$ studying.

You can make it bro. What you need now is focus..... Put in more and pray hard

You have to firmly believe you can do it....that is the major key...
believe in God and in yourself....don't always have any excuse if you fail....Just stand up and think of how to be a success....there's nothing like failure it only means you tried.....

Continue with your education. In most schools 100lvl GP accounts for just 10% of your total CGPA. Am very sure that if you are hardworking, you should graduate with a 2.1

You can make it but you need to shun so many distractions especially excessive social media use to be able to concentrate

But here is the catch, u have to make a minimum gpa of 4.3 and above every semester until u graduate.

it depends on your determination,u can make it just stay focus n have faith

If I can start with 1.81cgpa and graduated with 3.99cgpa then why should you give up?


You can achieve a 2'1 if you are determined, hardworking and associate with the right friends and above all, be close to God.

You should only give up if you cannot do all of the above stated.

Guy u no try at all. Believe me, that ur excuse of resuming few weeks to exams is not tenable. Back then, I also resumed few weeks to exam in my 100l and believe me those that resumed day one still copied me in the exam and scored at least C.

What am saying is, do away with excuses and put in more efforts. You really need to stop seeing courses as hard or difficult to understand, make friends with intelligent people ,go to them for explanations when you cant seem to wrap ur head around any topic, and share what u know with them as well. Don't try to be an island of knowledge, u may not know u don't know until u share what u know with others.

Lastly be positive stop dwelling on what u are going tru, It will weigh u down and u may not be able to concentrate on ur studies. You don't want to know what that guy with 4 point cgpa in ur dept is going tru, he may be going tru harder times than u are, but he is being positive and moving on.

Yes can still graduate with something good.
