agreed sir

I seem a little bit lost here, atheists don't have any book they live by

a Christians for instance have read the bible

I've met atheists that don't know Richard Dawkins

I kid you not

there's no rule for atheism

only our lack of belief in god(s) cut across all

everything and anything else can differ from one atheist to another

atheists don't have a system of beliefs and we exist, don't we?

if you call atheism a system of belief, then "power off" is a TV station

I don't know what you're getting at here, we have societal laws, workplace laws, School laws and we abide by them

Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing that is not seen; or the observance of an obligation from loyalty; or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement; or a belief not based on proof; or it may refer to a particular system of
religious belief

there's your answer, we just don't have it in the bolded
Well, I think I get you guys now. Can't really say I blame you for coming to your conclusions about the existence of a God, what with the happenings in the world today and the seemingly failure of God to intervene. But the truth is, some things are better experienced than described.

there is just no proof, all Christians have done is argue for

There's abundance of proof, just that you guys feel they are "not objective enough" Millions of people all over the world get healed everyday from one ailment or the other, lots and lots of people get visitations from angels, get saved from accidents, natural or man made disasters etc. The whole phenomenon of how we came to be is enough to believe in a higher power.
While respecting your views as an atheist, it is a source of great wonder to me how one can chose not to believe that an intelligent creator exists. I mean, it is one thing to be angry with, and not put your faith in, your father, (e.g those that disown their fathers/parents and face life on their own), but not believing that you ever had a father or postulating that you came into being without a father, that is just too implausible to me.

do you know atheists get healed too?

lots and lots of people get visitations from angels

really? so your angels chose who to visit? okay, ask them how angels look like; you'll be surprised that most would be the "usual" angels we see on TV

people also claim to have died and visited heaven/hell or both and its hilarious that they seem to visit different hells and heavens

get saved from accidents, natural or man made disasters etc.
this also happens to theists and atheists alike

The whole phenomenon of how we came to be is enough to believe in a higher power.

[quote]While respecting your views as an atheist, it is a source of great wonder to me how one can chose not to believe that an intelligent creator exists.

then why stop at that "higher power"? couldn't it have been a team of higher powers? and who created this higher power(s)?

we atheists simply accept our ignorance and don't fill that gap with tales and make believes

I mean, it is one thing to be angry with, and not put your faith in, your father, (e.g those that disown their fathers/parents and face life on their own), but not believing that you ever had a father or postulating that you came into being without a father, that is just too implausible to me.

atheists never postulated anything about how we came about, you're still having that misconception about atheism

atheists simply lack belief in gods; at no point did atheism claim we didn't come from a creator or not

at this point, let me make one thing clear about my observation on theism/atheism arguments over the years

all theists do at best is argue for "Deism"; to prove this to you, just read the above with an open mind and you'll see that you just argued for deism

Yes, the same way we theists believe a loving Father will pay the school fees of his children whether they are good or bad, serious with their studies or not, etc.

Yeah, they chose who and when to visit. But no, they are not always alike in looks. That's just the Hollywood/Nollywood version you refer to. Don't believe what you see in movies. Angels come in all forms, shapes and colors, as diverse as the human race. From various accounts they usually take the form you can easily relate to.

There's hardly a system that is free from potential abuse/corruption by false agents

then why stop at that "higher power"? couldn't it
have been a team of higher powers?

and we call that team the Holy Trinity, consisting of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit

and who
created this higher power(s)?

We don't believe He Himself was created. But we know Him as the Creator, The Beginning and the End.

Nevertheless you agree with me there's a gap that needs to be filled. And since many of you are also well versed in science, you'll again agree with me that vacuums simply do not exist in nature. So it may also be safe for me to conclude that atheism in its true sense doesn't exist. It is the same technical relationship between light and darkness. This is the whole crux of my argument.
