Depression and other psychological illnesses are just medical conditions that can be treated with drugs and counseling. Just see a doctor (psychiatrist), get your prescription, and keep taking it. Then you should try to surround yourself with people who are kind and understanding.

Regular doctors can prescribe basic psychiatric medications like antidepressants. They can also refer patients to good psychiatrists if needed.
