If there is one sector in Nigeria that is showing significant improvement, it is the power sector. The repairs carried out on infrastructure by the Ministry of power under Fashola is bearing fruits. What is more impressive is that fact that Generation has been steady.

4,000MW is not enough to meet demand but the consistency is back after power was severely disrupted by the bombing of installations in february 2016.

Security is key to boosting electricity supply and we all have to play our part.

We still need significant investment in boosting gas infrastructure and diversifying the energy mix.

You can't compare Nigeria to industrialized nations but yes, we have a long way to go.

Like Fashola has stated, we would start with an incremental power supply, steady and then uninterrupted power supply.

It should have been more than this. It's just that the gas constraints we are facing due to pipeline bombings have eroded the gains of Fashola and his teams efforts on improving transmission.

We are currently losing about 3000MW due to gas constraints despite having the capacity to carry it. Chai.

But seriously speaking, my area Ojuelegba Lagos, power has improved. I only spent, N4k to power fuel for the generator, compared to N25K before July this year.

I hope for better.
