Icon4s:I have a few issues with your formation. Why oh why should we still be playing Nacho as a 10?! Some might disagree but he wasn't even among the top 5 players for Nigeria in that Tanzania game, why should we be playing him in a position he last played 2 years ago?! simple, if the coaches trust Ighalo more than him then he should be benched because right about now, Iwobi should have that 10 spot wrapped up, no need pushing him to the wings either. And you really want us to start Success? He can't start a game currently, he has been making sub appearances for almost 3 months so starting him is a bad bet, and with Moses confirming that he has a niggle, being a resident doctor, I know a little about Physiotherapy and I can assure you that he should not play that game in that pitch, that pitch is horrible and once he strikes his boot on the ground which is bound to happen in non-level playing field, then he will be out for six weeks, losing whatever momentum he has already generated at Chelsea. So Musa and Simon might just have to start and they can both be subbed in |

I have an issue that is bothering me here and I think I should say it. please, can we all reduce the number of images we attach to comments please, it is no longer funny, it seems childish to me, I used to smile at it when it was only the image of GoodJoe's stick, but now even when there is absolutely nothing funny, someone attaches a rather irritating image to it. Not only that, it undermines the sanity of the person of the person who made the initial comment and it isn't cool at all, it serves to portray you as having more knowledge than the other person which isn't always true, because I myself won't include Mikel in my top10 Nigerian players of all time, reason being that in the 80s, some local lads not only won us the nations cup, but also developed our local league massively, endearing the game of football to all our hearts, so great players of that era will come first, then Kanu and Okocha OBVIOUSLY, then you have to add our record goalscorer before anyone else, in fact , Enyeama comes before Mikel for me, by a mile, Enyeama has saved us more than I can imagine, and I can't seem to recall more than 5 games where Mikel has been our saviour at all |

We have continued with our failure to plan well for games. Very soon the inevitable will happen. Nff as usual, can never changed. Another failure looming. |

clefstone:No,either u r subtly looking for a way to adjust ur list,or u r just looking 4 excuse to cover ur head that have been bombarded by people because of ur list lack of credibility. Anyways, u must list ur players in a particular order, from no.1 to 10. I'm waiting. I noticed in ur list that the greatness of Nig footballers stopped after the 1996,that's why Enyeama and Mikel couldn't make ur list. |

Mickael2:Ur opinions sha, but just as it bothers u with people attaching images so as it bothers some people when u say Mikel is not among ur top 10 Nig greats,n never done anything for Nig. So u just have to live with the images u'll b seeing. I don't advice them to stop attaching the images, perhaps the images might help u make the right comments next time. |

Mickael2:Firstly, who says the last time Iheanacho played "10" was 2years ago? Was the last WYC where he played "10" not last year? How is 2015 two years ago. Iheanacho played "10" in the Egypt clash also. I didnt watch the Mali and Luxembourg friendlies so I can't say what role he played in those games. Secondly, The coaches, jst as TheGoodJoe had mentioned, have chosen to adopt the 4-2-3-1 formation (which is an attacking variant of 4-5-1) so as to fully optimise the attacking talent in the team. Ighalo has always been favoured to start as the CF, so Iheanacho would have to man the "number 10" position. Or would you rather we keep him on the bench and make him a like-for-like substitute for Ighalo bc he must play only as a CF? Thirdly, the national team setup is different from club set-up.In a club if there is a defficiency in a particular position the club buys a player to fill that position. But in the national teams players are made to adjust to play roles they typically dnt play in their clubs. Eg in the last Euros David Alaba, a LB, was made to play as the number 10. Portugal lacked quality natural strikers so Ronaldo and Nani were drafted to form the strike partnership. Coming home Mikel plays a DMF at Chelsea but has played more as a CMF and AM for Nigeria. Shehu Abdulahi is a DMF at his club but is more useful to us a RB. Fourthly, Success should not start bc he has only come in as a sub in the last 4 EPL games? If it is based on that analogy then Mikel should not even be on the 23 man list. Let me help you out on possible reason why Success may not start. "The coach may not want to start a DEBUTANT YOUNG PLAYER FOR A GAME OF SUCH MAGNITUDE. This ideology i also share. Lastly, Simon is not on the 23 man list, Moses' availability is in doubt right now.Ighalo is out. This implies Iheanacho is likely to play CF and Iwobi plays "10". With this our available wings options are now Musa and Success. If Moses does not make it Success is likely to start. |

Icon4s:Is Okocha regarded as Frankfurt great? Sometimes I don't understand how you know much about Football but still don't give full details of the facts available to you. So, you don't know Rashidi Yekini is Victoria Setubal and 3SC Legend? So, you don't know Segun Odegbami is 3SC legend. |

forgiveness:http://community.eintracht.de/forum/diskussionen/79194 That is a frankfurt fan blog.. OKocha is considered one of their greatest players. Comments: 1. I would consider Yeboah aswell as Okocha as the best players. Can't forget Hengemühle though 2. I think Jürgen Grabowski was the best. But Bernd Hölzenbein, Uwe Bein and of course Yeboah and Okocha were great players. 3. hard to say. the best known are grabowski and hoelzenbein (in the 70's and early 80's) and moeller, bein, okocha and yeboah in the early 90's. and of course, hengemuehle must be mentioned (is he injured again?) |

@Icon4s Simon is in the team for the Zambia match. He played today for Gent though they lost by a goal through a wonderful freekick. He was his old self. Quick, tricky & silky. Esiti & Rabiu also played. Infact club brugge parked the big bus until simon was substituted. He was the most dangerous threat for his team. Esiti looked solid too as a DM with good eye for splitting passes but not quick in pace. He moves like a slowbie(boss). Will prefer Ndidi to him. |

Pep is a one trick pony... In Barca, he had players like Xavi, busquests, iniesta and masherano who were good on the ball and can deal with pressure. Today, spurs killed them with pressing.. They could not cope. |

Obinna nwobodo, bundle of skill, what a delight to watch in possession. Miles ahead of his peers. A quality addition to super eagles also if included. Just need to brush up his marking. Alex iwobi looks very heavy today in movement. |

Napoleon55:Well, I did not arrange them according to the greatest but if I should do Rashidi Yekini go still be no one not Kanu. Now let me arrange it accordingly. 1, Rashidi Yekini: In Africa nations cup, he won 1 trophy, 3 times runner up, 1 third place, Twice highest goal scorer of African cup of Nations(1992 & 1994), 2nd highest goal scorer in 1990 AFCON, Nominated twice for AFCON best player of the tournament but he won only once1992 & 1994), 2 times CAF team of the tournament (1990 & 1994), Nominated 3 times for African player of the year which he won once(to become the first Nigerian to win it), came second and third, highest goal scorer prior to 1994 World Cup, first Nigerian to score in a World Cup, Nigeria highest goal scorer of all time. Club achievements He was the highest goal scorer in the Nigerian Premier league in the 80's( when Nigerian league was hot), he won the Nigerian Premier league in 1983 with 3SC, he took 3SC to the Finals of African Champions cup for the first time in Nigeria Football club history(this was massive in the eyes of patriotic Nigerians), Won 2 FA Cups with Abiola babes in 1985 and 1987. , He helped African Sport to win Treble in 1989( his name is written in Ivorian folklore), highest goal scorer in LIGRAPRO(Segunda-division) with 34 goals in 32 matches, highest goal scorer in Portuguese Premier Liga, Won Bola de Prata etc ![]() Note: Nigerian Premier league was hot when he achieved these. And because of that Rashidi Yekini was invited to the National team in 1982. This is obviously number one. Who can match this? Kanu Nwankwo? Okocha? Mikel (my man)? Sorry ![]() |
