that's good
what is good about it? The best they should do is engage these men who do these things, find out how they do it, help optimize the process, grant them licenses and we would hardly worry about imports, which will also provide jobs.

Nigeria is blessed with natural resources but cursed with foolish leaders.

What shall it profit the government to destroy illegal refinery yet they can't refine fuel in Nigeria?
Why destroy the refinery instead of studying how they utilized their brain to refine fuel.

sometimes I wonder how we think in this country, don't they have Environmental Analyst that will tell them not to bomb the place because it will cause more harm to the environs.
well it's not Nigeria concern, all we want is to kill an ant with a mallet not minding we may cause harm to the table on which the ant is on.

can't the army be around on ground, then the air troops cause a chaos by just flying over the place causing the people involved panic and running into ambush made by the NA.

if illegal works, why can't we transform it into small module and make it of standard measures thereby bring income to the Federal govt.... they won't like this because the oil cabals / oil wells owners will not benefit

I love Buhari to finish. When it come to 5% voter's resources, he prefer to finish them, but when it come 97%, he go give them both open and secret appointment, recruitments stc.

An ATR 42 can see everything from 20,000 feet. Intel is now technology. With drones ATR's and guided munitions, the NAF has all the Intel it needs without risking boots on the ground. If that offends anyone. Too bad.

What have that operation added to the economy or lessen the hardship in the nation?. Are those guys operating illegal refinery more corrupt than the presidency, public servants and politicians in general including the military?

Most of them are unemployed engineers of different fields and neglected citizen of Nigeria. They decided to be busy instead of armed robbery. I blame our leaders both past and present. Nonsense.

It's a wellcome idea by our military personnel but a question begs for answer. How come a bunch of "not so educated person(s)" have the knowledge to refine fuel while it's taking our government both past and present like for ever to make our refinery functional.

Not just allow them operate. Invest in and educate them on how to properly refine this products to certain standards and sell within Nigeria. NO more need for importation of refined products and no need to find foreign buyers because their business will grow till they are able to afford better equipment, maybe even standard refineries, and also increase crude oil purchase instead of pipe line vandalization. It is a win win situation really

Yeah most likely expected!

In a government that is acutely insensitive of the masses' plight, yet destroying the little available sustenance. How would he (PMB) not have thought it right to destroy any threat in the south and expect Nigerians to yell "thumbs up".

The fact is that 'All dumb people are men but not all men are dumb people'. Need I say that he'll soon meet his woe, and it will be unfortunate for both the supporters and the supported.

Land (and its resources) remains immobile regardless of what it is ever or never that the notherners wanna do.

So since he can't sell, at least he should be allowed to destroy? The so-called President still needs be taught ethics of good governance.

Our fingers are crossed, we're watching!

Why destroying all the modular refineries in the region when it is obvious that govt can not supply the required quantity for our daily consumption.

You can't ever expect them to welcome this kind of news as a good Development.

Instead of them to appreciate the FG and the Nigeria Military, they would be Chest-beating up and down!

Meanwhile..... Kudos to NAF and the Nigeria Military. Every patriotic Nigerian is appreciating your bravery and sacrifices to ensure a peaceful Country!

Brother it's high time our leaders begin to think Nigerian. The Nigerian project must be carried out by Nigerians if we will have any shot at succeeding.

This illegal refineries need to be harnessed. This is the reason the western are breaking barriers. Smart guys into illegal stuffs are put to good use for the greater good of the nation. We can't keep depending on western nations to solve our basic problems.

Can you imagine American government destroying illegal refineries built by Americans when America depends on other nations for refined products? We need to start thinking for ourselves.

If it's the issue of oil theft, the Shell and Mobil of this world steal our crude on a daily basis and we have never complained. We applaud the international oil organizations stealing our oil while we are prepared to wage war against our brothers for the same crime.
