BascoVanVeli:

At the end of last year only a few of city's players were performing, Sterling wasn't half the man he is now. Lets get this clear Yaya's standard dropped last year but he wasn't half as bad as Rooney.

Yaya can not keep up with the run. Heck, it is tough on Fernandinho. Sterling copes because he is young.

What do you mean by statistics is all that matters.

Who is a bigger English legend between Steven Gerald and David Beckham?

Steven Gerald scored more goals for England than Beckham: 21 vs 17.
Both never won the WC or Euros but Gerald captained a team that won the UEFA champions league. Beckham also won the UEFA champions league.

But who is the bigger Legend and why?

Do you even know what legendary is all about?
"statistics is all that matters".

Who is the bigger Legend btw Roger Milla and Samuel Eto?

Who is the bigger Legend btw Drogba and Yaya_Tour?

Who is bigger Legend btw Maradona and Messi? grin

My oga at the top, please answer?

in 30 years time your Yekini's record will have been replaced by a more prolific scorer.

He may even be moved down by far more accomplished footballers to like Top 20 footballers.

You dey forbid progress ni?

AMEN! grin

From 1970 - 1984 Segun Odegbami was the number 1 Legend before somebody took over. grin

We are saying from the time of Rashidi Yekini till date nobody has been able to replace him but if someone does, no wahala. The point is nobi Kanu grin

....maybe if you would stick to the topic rather than going on a crusade to save the reputation of your 'people', this thread would have some sanity to it.

I don't know why it's paining you this much that it's Kanu that has the title of Nigeria's Greatest, maybe you would have slept better knowing it was Yekini or Odegbami or someone whose name you could better relate to?

I know a lot of people intentionally try to keep this out of the conversation so as not to cause trouble, but more often than not, your baseless arguments tend to tilt in favour of a certain tribe.

Please... I honestly didn't wanna pick on this. It's a shame how people use certain details to pull down Kanu and others but turn a blind eye to what you just pointed out.

I saw this and knew this all along but I believe in keeping a debate like this fair and not an avenue for pulling down people.

I refuse to use this route Forgiveness was using on Kanu. Like I said, I don't wanna dim the lights on the achievements of our legends.

Pls, let's not dim Yeking's lights. He was a legendary beast in front of goal but the truth must be said. Yekini isn't Top 3 in Nigerian legends football folklore. Wonder why that is so hard to "see". Records don't lie... Or do they?

They have to gather morale from somewhere, somehow, you know... wink

Truth is, "they are kinda scared"

They saw Mikel at Rio 2016. They see Vic Moses, Nacho, Iwobi, Ighalo, and Success every weekend in the Epl...

They are so glad Isaac, Victor Moses and Ighalo won't show up due to reasons known to us.

I hope to see us beat them in Ndola so as to send a message to the rest of Africa.

Beating Zambia and winning our next game afterwards will gradually bring back "the fear factor" usually associated with the name "SUPER EAGLES" and make our opponents shiver even before we step onto the pitch.

We need to win. We need to try and qualify for Russia 2018. But We also need that fear factor back in full force.... smiley

I totally agree with you Sir, Yekini was a great player though no my type of striker just like Emenike. I read somewhere the Yekini was booed while playing his last match for Nigeria, I don't know how true
