I don't want to ague with you.

It depends on which ground on which you re looking at it.
and whom you re telling. and what you intended to achieve.

This morning when my wife wanted to dish me food I frankly told her that I will be fasting today. was that done out of pride?

listen what is done between two believers is never a propagander. two brother can always share things in comom and God will never be angry about it.

But if I go and start brocasting it to the unbelievers out their then that's where that very chpt u qouted would have fits in proper.

Jesus was just passing a masage across it is not nenecerily all about fasting alone but in every other things. which was the doing of the pharisees.

OK I didn't say that to cause quarrel and gave scriptural backings from the words of Jesus. I don't claim not to commit sin because I leave that for God to access in my heart. You asked how you can be saved and I told you the way. You can choose to follow or ignore. Now bye-bye.
