I salute you Fayose. The conspiracy against Tinubu will fail,because like I said in an earlier article,the man brings in progressives together for a greater good.

As it stands today. Tinubu is the only influential political figure in Nigeria,and a lot of people are not happy about that,and for the fact he is Yoruba,is even making them more angry.

The right to be called a leader is earned,and Tinubu has earned that right.

He was a beautiful bride prior to the election but he is slowly being made a pariah by those he helped secure victory. Such is the vicissitude of politics.

Tinubu's motives for teaming up with Buhari's CPC were never about the advancement of the Yorubas. If it were so, he would have insisted that the devolution of power and true federalism be made a cardinal part of the APC's campaign manifesto. Two agendas the Yorubas have always pushed for.

It is heart warming that his political foes have thrown their weight behind him since the political onslaught on him began. I only hope he is learning some salutary lessons and will build on this open show of support by his hitherto political adversaries.

You don't? Really? Is there anyone who did not see this coming? After APC was formed and even more before presidential election, many of us predicted this would happen. When APC people attacked us and labelled us Tanoids, I thought they were just being partisan and pretending not to know. What a surprise!
We predicted that by the time Tinubu is outsmarted by the politically savvy North it will all turn tribally ugly. We cited examples from history. Akintola/Awo feud fuelled by the North, IBB/Abacha/Abiola issue. Etc. Then the SW controlled media would go into tribal overdrive.

Sadly, SW only threaten and shout before they are pacified. To be used and humiliated again next time by the North. They never take a decisive and permanent action to control their own affairs.

How long can this cycle of servitude, rebellion/threat and appeasement continue?

I think SW, despite all the braggadocio when pushed against the wall, still inwardly underestimate themselves. They seem not to realise that an independent Odua Republic led by Awo from the 1960s would by now be by far the most developed country in Africa or even in the Southern hemisphere.

A country that would have carved out lucrative niches in financial services, education, IT, medicine, legal services, the services & entertainment sectors, tourism, transportation, real estate, culture & agriculture. This would have more than made up for low petroleum resources.

Surprisingly they chose to be an appendage of backward, conservative, power hungry feudalists.

What happened to Chuba Okadigbo, Alex Ekwueme, Arthur Nzeribe, Emeka Ojukwu, Pa Nnamdi Azikiwe, Aguyi Ironsi, Chinua Achebe etc that all worked for the North?
