My child woke up this morning with the same kind of marks all over the back where her hand could not have possibly reached. Please i need answers as this is really driving me nuts. This is the third time it is happening . In my quest for an answer, i found the link i posted above.

I have been skipping this thread for a while now and thought I should mention that I used to have this a lot when I was still in boarding school. Secondary school and funny enough, I saw something similar some days back on my shoulder.

Normally, for me, it goes off after a while.

I would advice you make sure his bed is properly dusted.

Unfortunately, I still have not been able to explain it.

Unlike you though, I do not believe in witches and all that. You can try to do more research on Google though.

I won't answer this question because I may be wrong, but it may be good to discuss anti-allergy medication with a pharmacist just in case.

With this thinking, I doubt you'd readily get a solution.

So if I scratch myself with a bottle and I don't tell the doctor, he's automatically supposed to diagnose and know even though the scratch is not terminal in any way?

The best you'd get is a search for infections and perhaps antibiotics with few advice both medical and general.

Having something in mind while going to see a doctor is as bad as self diagnosis and isn't healthy.

Persons have said it could be a bug, mite or self inflicted and i believe it's one of them. Let the doctor do his job. Advising the lady to keep probing or jumping from one hospital to the other isn't the best thing.

I doubt if the shea butter is responsible. IMO,the marks were deeper than I thought hence it might take a longer time to heal/fade. Thanks Seun.

Thanks dear but there are no insects whatsoever in the house. We actually sleep on the same bed.

Anyway, these scratch marks, though could look alarming and scary, do not really mean much....

Since this is an online forum (where I can't see the child and assess very well with a detailed history and a concise physical examination) a diagnosis could range from insect stings to even cutaneous larva migrans.....

But as a Nigerian medical doctor, our main aim is to achieve cure to any ailment....

So if there is no much improvement with Shea butter application, I would prescribe a triple action cream that contains antifungal, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties.....

Examples include epiderm, funbact A and bafama creams......

Apply to affected areas and give me a mention after some days to know if there is any improvement or not.....

There's this special center for people like them in my state, after she took their drugs she became very alright. Get local help Abeg, she visited hospitals but their drug didn't work. Na so so drug them give her, there could be an hospital that has specialist for this case. I can't upload her pictures now for u to see, she's way more dark so the scratch ain't this obvious. Take care ma'am

This is a clear case of spiritual attack.
That was how I was afflicted,treated it medically then.It was when one of the doctors was confused that it dawn on me that it was more than medical solution.
But thank God for His mercies,I survived the attack.
Pls OP don't fold your hands o.Take the battle to the enemies gate.
Most at times,the witches and wizards fight those with great destiny.
Apply the Blood of Sprinkling every night invoking God's angels to go on rampage.Those witches are dogs.And they should not be shown mercies.
Anoint her every night.
Get up by 12am every night to call on God to fight this battle.

Don't worry because your child is still young. Even if it is spiritual (some of these kind of marks are) she is till too young.

I am not a medical doctor, but I will say that its not a serious issue. It is very very common and with or without treatment, it will disappear.

If it is spiritual as the Mum, you have a spiritual covering and authority over her. Do not just read the Psalms thats funny...do this: (I hope you are Born Again)

1. Lay your hand over your daughter's head and dedicate her body, soul and spirit to Jesus Christ.
2. Cover her with the Blood of Jesus as a mark of "Touch not my anointed.."
