U think my fiance is the only theist friend I have? I have been getting along with theists even before I met her.

Religion is dumb. My girl is dumb for being religious, but gladly there are far other qualities she has that I admire and that makes me think she is a great woman.

She knows my take in religion yet we are able to get along almost perfectly.

Like I said, their is more to life than religion and imaginary beings. We concentrate on other things more important to our lives. Ur imaginary being remains in her head and not in our relationship.

He didn't ask you to avoid every atheist like plague, he was asking Christian ladies to avoid (relationships with) like a plague. I don't see how that translate to hate. Or do you think its alright for a Christian to marry an atheist?

Personally, I believe that a Christian lady should not marry a man that is not more spiritually sound than her not to now talk of an unbeliever (atheists and others).

So don't see it as hate its just a good advice. If we hate atheists, how will we preach to them (which is a commandment for every Christian). Infact, as Christians we are not allowed to hate anyone (believer or unbeliever). But there should also be a balance, we shouldn't start doing all what they do all in the name of showing love to them.

So don't see it as hate but as a godly advice to our Christian sisters. Sorry for the long epistle, I pray you get my point. Peace

Go and enrol on Level 1 Critical Thinking and Theory of Knowledge courses, and you wouldn't be asking these questions. Coursera offers free online accessible courses these days so no one can claim exorbitant tuition fees prevented them from being knowledgeable.

1. GOD created you. He owns you.

2. GOD demands that you pay due obedience and respect to Him, as the Creator.

3. Sin is refusing to obey GOD.

4. GOD hates sin. His eyes are too pure to behold iniquity.

5. Sin pollutes GOD's creation. Disaster and death exist today because of sin. For the people who obey GOD, the presence of sin and its effect is enough torture.

6. GOD wants to rid His creation of sin and its effect, so that peace will reign.

7. It follows then that GOD will also get rid of those who have vowed to continue to practise sin, despite all the pleas and warnings from GOD.

Wait o, are you trying to tell me that christian men dont beat their wives? I think this is based on personality and not really religion. Some people are very hot tempered religion nothwitsanding and can do anything.
The atheist i am dating can hardly hurt a fly unless if unduely provoked, but i think all men are like that irrespective of their belief.

Will I be happy? No!
Would I appreciate her teaching our children Atheistic doctrines? No!
Would I intensify my " indoctrination " effort on our children? Yes!
Would I want her to do the same for our children? No!

Suppose she becomes adamant, would I give in? No!

Why? I don't want to loose my children in eternity!

Interestingly, my atheistic wife would not have any plan for eternity either for herself or for our children." She has nothing to loose" by her atheistic stand.

However, as a Theist, I have all to loose if I make heaven and all my children do not all because I married an atheist.

So you see, its not as simple as you have viewed it except of course if you DO NOT interfere with anything of religious inclination in your family.

Jesus does not exist... I am not interested in what a non existent being thinks about my wife. That's left for her to deal with its not my business.

How she became born again is not my business, I just love her for who she is... A caring fun to be with lady.

If ur wife becomes and atheist u will be sad... That's the difference between me and u,the only thing that will make me sad in my marriage is when my loving wife stops being loving.

There is no eternity for me, that's a burden for m wife to care... If my kids are Christians or not, it does not matter to me, I sure will ensure they are not dumb.

To me this is the easiest thing on earth... We are loving ourselves this way, we will sure continue.. ur non existent God will not stop our happiness.

Will she be happy if she knows that you think both her and her religion are dumb? She probably just thinks that you're indifferent to religion and will change with time. Not knowing that you're a Christian basher on nairaland.

If she's a true Christian then nothing will be more important to her than her relationship with God. So don't tell me that there are more important things in your relationship than religion. The foundation of your relationship is shaky.

If you want to be fully honest with her, allow her to read all your posts on nairaland. I don't think your relationship can survive that.

And am not wishing you ill, am just trying to look out for a fellow sister in Christ. She might be caught up in love now and not realize what she's doing. I just pray that her eyes open before its too late. Peace
