President Muhammadu Buhari is a retired General in the Nigerian Army and the current President of Nigeria. He was sworn in May, 2015 after winning with over 20 million votes.

The next Nigerian general elections are due to hold in 2019 and though Buhari will be eligible for a second term, other candidates could run against him.

Nigerian celebrities in the Entertainment industry are very influential. The singers, comedians get sold out shows and the actors make cinemas full and get their movies premiered nationally and internationally.


The influence of Nigerian entertainers is one that cannot be toyed with and that drown the popularity of an average Nigerian politician. I lists four celebrities that are capable of challenging President Buhari’s position in the 2019 elections.

They might be popular and influential but when it comes to presidential elections, they stand no chance..

You do not even need to be a celebrity to defeat him. Just be fair to all, transparent, and promise to run an all-inclusive government with a little give and take.

It's your words against his performances. Worse still, you need not he anything at all to oust him.

Like Jonathan, the presidency is his to lose; and he has a few years left to prove to Nigerians if he really is the one.

Going by the situation on ground, some Nigerians would rather vote for a goat than have him return.

But if it's down to the names here, 2baba has my vote, hands down. He's the symbol of what a humane person should be. Has a forgiving spirit and is a man of his words. Given his charm, he might even f#ck America to get us some dollars, who knows?

Maybe you don't understand the the whole issues called politics especially in Nigeria. It's not about popularity and fame, and, lemme tell you that there're many people that are not interested in these celebrities, you may also go and verify this historically.
