Kelechi Iheanacho could easily pass as the best when it comes to hitting the ball from range for the Eagles with Godwing Obaje not too far from him. Brown Ideye was good in using technique instead of power as instructed by the coach.

Wish Awoniyi was in camp to learn some finishing tricks from our coach. Wishing Awo the best.

[b]ZAMBIA VS NIGERIA: OUTRAGE AS PINNICK TAKE CLOSE FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES TO NDOLA WITH BAIL OUT FUNDS FROM FG

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick used bail out funds released by the federal government of Nigeria for the Super Eagles game, to fly his close friends and associates to Ndola for the World Cup qualifiers tie between Nigeria and Zambia.

Owngoalnigeria.com sources at the airport revealed that a total of over 50 people travelled with the team in the chartered aircraft hired by the NFF.

”I can confirm to you that the flight is filled. We initially thought it was for the players and their technical crew, maybe with some board members as well but what we saw shocked us over 50 extra people. I thought they say they are broke?” The source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Also a backroom staff at the office of the NFF also confirmed that president of the NFF took his close friends and associates to Ndola thanks to the funds released by the federal government.

”My brother we at the office were shocked, when we escorted the team to the airport and saw faces we have never seen. Infact they were over 50. This is waste, regardless of what anybody says, this kind of jamboree is not expected from a country in recession”, he said

“From my count we have about 10 to 15 journalist loyal to the NFF on the flight, on the bills of the NFF. Estacode, accommodation and feeding will be handled by the NFF. Overall over 50 people with no business in Ndola are on the flight. This is a shame”.

Next match, Pinnick and his gang will ask players to pay for their flights, and we will call it sacrifice. Excellent!

[b]EAGLES IN FRESH PAY ROW, 'WE'RE TIRED OF EMPTY PROMISES'

Super Eagles chaotic build-up for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier in Zambia took a fresh twist Friday night after they again rowed with the NFF over their unpaid monies.

Despite promises they will be paid before departure to Zambia, they were not.

At a point the Eagles even threatened they will not head to the airport for the flight to Zambia unless they are paid.

The NFF leadership had to come down to the team’s Abuja hotel with billionaire oil magnate and owner of premier league club, Ifeanyi Ubah, to pacify the Eagles.

“We are tired of empty promises,” blasted one of the disgruntled players.

“It is promises after promises and after that nothing!”

Earlier this week, NFF president Amaju Pinnick accompanied by technical committee chairman Chris Green addressed the team at their hotel, promising the Eagles they will be paid some of their monies before their departure.

They have not been paid a bonus for their last three matches and there are also outstanding flight ticket refunds.

This is an absolute show of shame from Amaju Pinnick. A disgrace to the federation. He led the cry of Jo money and wasted the scarce funds the President of Nigeria released to him.

We have the last U17 World Cup winners who have nothing to show for their heroic efforts. We have coaches who are owed, yet Pinnick chose to waste the money.

The money spent on these fifty people is enough to take care of the next friendly game.

Then this Pinnick will tell players to pay for their flights, hotel bills and feeding.

Mr Amaju Pinnick, you are a disgrace to Football administration.

If not the devotion of our players, we would not have anything to show for the talents we produce.

I wonder how we can clean up the NFF. We need the kind of raid that happened in FIFA.

It is sacrifice because if the players will not do it, then our football rots.

It is painful but what should the players do? Abandon their dreams of playing in a World Cup? It is painful and sad. Without them making sacrifices, these men will destroy our football.

This is the same Amaju Pinnick who sent our home based footballers to camp in South Africa without money for food. The same man has the guts to waste money like this.

Oliseh spent $4,000 of his own money feeding our boys. Has it ever occurred to this crook that he should refund Oliseh that feeding money?

It is sad that we are in such a tough group and with some good talents, yet we are distracted by money issues. Why must these men keep making things hard for the team. Instead of paying them, the NFF waste it.

So bitter.

Oh so what are 50 heads invaluable to national international assignment doing on a plane meant for its execution.

You know, every time I see that pix of the late Keshi and Kalusha, I'm sad. Reason being that Keshi never got the chance to smell the Presidency of our top football house.

SECURITY FAIL AS SCREAMING CHELSEA,
ARSENAL FANS MOB MIKEL AND IWOBI IN
ZAMBIA

Alex Iwobi of Arsenal and captain John Mikel Obi
of Chelsea were the star attraction in the Super
Eagles team for Zambian fans upon arrival in
Ndola.

A large section of football enthusiast who were
present when the duo appeared with the Super
Eagles upon arrival kept shouting their names,
while the players responded with a wave.

However security operatives failed to prevent
some of the screaming fans from taking photos
with the Nigerian super stars, as a matter of fact
even some of the security men were also guilty of abandoning their duty for photographs with the Eagles stars.

Manchester City teen star Kelechi Iheanacho
wasn’t left out of the picture session, as the man whose goal clinched the Manchester derby for his side against Manchester United was heavily courted as well.

However, the training session of the team was
closed to media men and the general public as
the Super Eagles rehearse their tactics for
tomorrow’s game.

Rohr looks beyond Zambia

Ahead of today’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier
between Zambia and Nigeria in Ndola, Technical
Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr says his
boys will be aiming at securing the maximum
three points at stake.

Rohr who spoke in Abuja shortly before departing for his first major challenge said winning the game will be a stepping stone on realizing the aim of the team to finish tops of Group B which also has Cameroon and Algeria.

According to the technical adviser, the Super
Eagles have a huge chance of winning in Zambia even as he stated that he expects a tough game from the southern Africans.

“Our aim is to finish first from the group, we have
a big chance of achieving that. It is a big
responsibility which I expect every player to take
very seriously. If they can be doing so well for
their clubs, I also expect them to do same for
Nigeria.

“We have the advantage of having well
experienced players from around the world. We
know much about them, they play short passes
but we will try to hold the ball instead of playing
‘kick and follow.

“However, let me warn that it will not be a walk in
the park. We will be ready to play at any turf they
may wish because there will be no reason for
excuses. I know that some pitches in Africa are
not smooth but we must try to control the ball
well.”

Rohr also reassured that none of the players in
camp has any injury worry adding that the few
who got injured before the opening of the camp
were replaced by other quality players.

The German born tactician further described the
game as one that will be very entertaining
because Zambia like Nigeria are hungry after
failing to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of
Nations (AFCON).

Was watching AIT some months ago and found some shocking revelations.

Do you know that a person cannot become NFF President if he isn't the head of a State FA? So, you have to hustle state Chairman before you can even dream of NFF President.

Do you know how State Chairmanship is gotten?

Sitting Governors get to appoint someone as State Chairman, more often than not, this someone is usually one of the thugs who helped the Governor secure his mandate via voter intimidation and such antics. So basically, what we have as NFF Presidents are thugs. Ex-footballers and sports writers cannot be NFF President.

Do you now see why our football is so utterly f-ucked?

If someone doesn't change such a useless constitution, we can't move forward. You see the problem with Nigeria as a whole?

And going by how CAF is run, I'm guessing such madness takes place in most African countries, or pray tell, can anyone tell me Issa Hayayou's achievements as a footballer?

The players complained about the bad condition of the playing field, too much contours and the weather is very harsh. Mikel, Iwobi and Kelechi kept drinking water while on training yesterday smiley They are professionals, they know how to overcome it.

Looooolllllll.... I said it... Let the games against Zambia and Algeria and probably the next two games afterwards come... Then can we have an idea of Rohr's central formations and likely formation back-ups.. For he will indeed base his formation on the opposition and strengths (and weaknesses) of the Opponents.

This formation looks very interesting and dynamic.... Coz Omeruo or Ndidi could shift to the right fullback role if the need to defend in fours in our defence arises and Echiejile drops from his left wingback role to Left fullback role.

And with Ndidi or Omeruo as rightback... This could also feature as a 4-2-3-1 with Musa benched due to the Zambians' subtle plan to definitely put him under intense scrutiny.

It's a dynamically interesting formation but only challenge is we have never executed the 3-5-2 or 4-1-4-1 before in this era.... Hope it all pays off coz we have the talents to execute various formation styles. All that is needed is their commitment to make is work... And a cohesive team-spirit.

All the best Super Eagles... grin
