Discipline in the Judiciary is the responsibility of the National Judicial Commission, NJC. They recommend to the FG any appropriate punishment to be taken.

However, if a case of bribery is established, it becomes the responsibility of Police and the ICPC(not DSS) to independently commence investigation/prosecution. DSS have no power to try financial or corrupt crimes except when proceeds of the crime is used to sponsor terrorism or insurgency.
PArt of the constitutional role of DSS is detection and investigation of economic crime against the State. Is corruption not part of economic crime? DSS is empowered Sir.

What are you trying get from him, is he a member of the squad that arrested the judges?

Every of his comment / defence on this subject is borne out of sycophancy and political patronage and not from in-depth knowledge of what transpired hence your question is adjudged rhetorical.
Exactly!

These people are creating a Monster out of a human (Buhari) by encouraging him to do as he wishes, trampling our laws and exercise powers that isn't his. This is like what happened in Germany during the Hitler era until he became a "god".

Funny enough, this initial gragra will die natural death.

The bolded is kinda funny. You don't realise too that the actions of a ruler can one day cause revolution in the land?
Am not holding brief for those corrupt judges but if you give a learned friend a tiny hole they will exploit it to their full advantage.
Of course actions of a ruler can lead to a revolt the same way corruption tainted and bought over judgement can also be a cause.

In this case, rule of law and due process were followed. So why do we need to blame PMB, except out of share hatred and wailing for wailing sake.

What is the role of the NPF, EFCC, ICPC in all this?
Is the DSS not for crimes against the integrity of the government such as SUSPECTED treasonable offences and not economic allegations of corruption?
Moreover what is the role of the TAX authorities huh

Enabling Act of 1933

The Enabling Act (German: Ermächtigungsgesetz) was a 1933 Weimar Constitution amendment that gave the German Cabinet – in effect, Chancellor Adolf Hitler – the power to enact laws without the involvement of the Reichstag. It passed in both the Reichstag and Reichsrat on 24 March 1933, and was signed by President Paul von Hindenburg later that day. The act stated that it was to last four years unless renewed by the Reichstag, which occurred twice. The Enabling Act gave Hitler plenary powers. It followed on the heels of the Reichstag Fire Decree, which abolished most civil liberties and transferred state powers to the Reich government. The combined effect of the two laws was to transform Hitler's government into a de facto legal dictatorship.

The formal name of the Enabling Act was Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich ("Law to Remedy the Distress of People and Reich"wink. It was enacted by the Reichstag (meeting at the Kroll Opera House), where non-Nazi members were surrounded and threatened by members of SA and SS. The Communists had already been repressed and were not able to vote, and some Social Democrats were kept away as well. In the end, nearly all of those present voted for the act, except for the Social Democrats, who voted against it.

How many of Nigerian Judges totally eschew bribes? Why target a selected few, just like how they target mainly opposition parties?

I think you are the one that ought to argue objectively?
Where is the resources to mount surveillance on ALL judges at the same time and arrest all at the same time?

Same way there is no resources to arrest all armed robbers, kidnappers, drug dealers at once.

What you are saying is not feasible even in the richest countries of the world, the only way is to target the few the available resources can cater for. They tried now, six operations at the same time

their loot, rape victim and bombs respectively.....

What an awesome idea!! This is gonna make a lot of sense as per justice and how every citizen is equal before the law and what is good for the goose is good for the gander!!

The powers of the SSS to arrest with or without warrant are both statutory and derivative. For the avoidance of doubt, section 3 (1) of the SSS instrument I of 1999 provides: "For the purpose of facilitating the discharge of its functions under these instrument, personnel of the State Security Services are hereby conferred with the powers of Superior Police officer in respect of searches and arrest". In simple terms, the law vests on the personnel of the SSS the same powers of arrest vested on officers of the NPF.

This is epic.

Is it not absurd that it is the looters and wailers that are castigating DSS. Fayose that slapped a sitting judge in a court room is also talking.

If our Bureau D'Judges can descend so low to corrupt themselves, DSS should also descend to the lowest level of impunity to bring them to justice.

RUle of Law my foot. Was that considered when money or favours was exchanging hands.

Are Judges above the law?

DO they have immunity?

is there a stipulated time for arrest in the constitution?

Are all security agencies and even citizens not empowered constitutionally to arrest?

Does the constitutional role of DSS not include economic crimes that have affect internal security of Nigeria?

NJC is empowered to only dismiss and discipline. Is NJC empowered to arrest and prosecute? Give us examples of where NJC has arrested and prosecuted corrupt judges in this nation. Just 1.

Sentiments, emotions and hatred for PMB is simply the driving force of some people.

NgeneUkwenu, I understand the need to fight corruption but we have to be careful not to arrogate absolute power to the executive.

Ideally, investigators are to Invite suspects or indictees (without saying the reason for invitation) and when those invited refused to honor the invitation, arrest becomes justified.

Secondly, to search the house of a citizen first requires a Search Warrant. I heard that DSS obtained search warrant (from Newspaper) which I'm not in position to verify or otherwise, but the search warrant are to be executed between the hours of 6am and 6pm according to our laws.

But like I said in one thread, we have to be careful. Anyway, let the legal fireworks begin
Bros, why police no dey "invite" ritualists, drug barons, armed robbers, etc before they kpake dem comando style, strip dem almost naked, den take portraits of dem splash everywhere for newspapers??

We are missing something here. Nobody is supporting corruption, but the manner and way of arrest is ugly.
These judges are they armed? Are they militants etc.

You have come again with these your illustrations than doesn't address the matter at hand. Even if all these waste is curbed will that confer the resources to spend so much on security operations? You can answer that.

The total FG budget is less that 1/5 of that of New York state not the entire USA o, and you expect Nigeria to fund it's security agencies even more than FBI. Be reasonable now

The manner of operation will usually only happen if the judges resisted arrest or tried to prevent access by DSS to their premises.
At least in one case in Rivers state, the judge resisted arrest with evidence.

If that is what it would take to nip corruption in the bud, so be it!

The men rape this country with reckless abandon persistently and when their acts are about to catch up with them, they run to the law, which they persistently violate, for cover. What greater irony can there be than that??
