ok, true, but there are igbo communities in kogi.

None. No Igbo community in Kogi that I'm aware of. Just some Igala communities that are bilingual in both Igbo and Igala. They are Igala by ethnicity.

Only Benue has indigenous Igbo speaking groups.

Igbo speaking with Igbo as first language, none. Igbo speaking with Igbo as second language, maybe.

If you find an Igbo first language speaking indigenous community in Kogi, please do holla me, by mentioning my moniker.

well for southern Nigeria, the igbos are the single largest ethnic group, followed by yoruba..

Ijaws are not in any way the 4th largest. it is between the tivs, kanuri or fulani.

Have you ever wondered why the igbos are so numerous outside their home land constituting the largest Nigerian ethnic diaspora in any city/country in the world except maybe in london where there are as much yorubas if not more than the igbo. Go to any major city in Nigeria/Africa, the igbo populations in such cities are usually numerous, from lagos, to abuja, to kano, to ibadan to ilorin to makurdi, to warri, to benin to yenagoa to minna, to dutse to yola, to Accra to Lome, to Abidjan to Cotonou to Nairobi, to Johannesburg to Cairo they are just everywhere in Multitude numbers..

Now this is it, read this

the largest ethnic group in the south is YORUBA GIYF and second in Nigeria after Hausa/Fulani

Actually they are nt Yoruba, But they share some similar culture , Names & Language together ...They are more related to Ilaje (Yoruba sub group).

Speaking same language with you doesn't make 1 Yoruba, I bear same name with isoko that doesn't make me an Isoko boy.. So you see.. Minorities should be respected , We av similar case in Rivers.

Op Urhobo is the 4th largest Ethnic group. about 7million .. or maybe ijaw. Those are the two tribe on my mind.

It was on Wikipedia sometimes ago that Urhobo was the fourth largest ethnic group constituting 9% of the population but it has been edited and I can no longer find that information. I would've screen munched it then.

This is what happens when you have daft leaders, no comparative studies, nothing. We should have all these facts for posterity.

Personally I think its Urhobo because Urhobos are in large population in Edo state and even Bayelsa. Also I recently read somewhere that Urhobos were the first tribe to settle in Jos.

Base on what Nigeria told you, after the civil war as part of their marginalization(revenue sharing through state creation) and operation hold igbo down agenda.. but well researched demographers and scholars know the truth.

Am not here to argue with you and am not igbo if you may know and for your info, there is nothing like Hausa/fulani. you are either Hausa or fulani. hausa/fulani word is a scam cos they are two distinct ethnic groups. Hausa don't even understand fulfulde language.

if i may ask,is there any ethnic group as tiv/idoma or igbo/ibibio or benin/ijaw, Egbira/igala? Nigerians as not as educated as they think. they are the best in world geography and demography but the poorest in their history, demography and geography. The most educated Nigerians in that regards to me are the igbos and fulani because they are the most travelled within Nigeria hence they understand Nigeria outside their homeland

Why don't you counter it with facts? Should I just take your words as fact? For example in Cross River state you have Yala, Ogoja, Obudu, Boki, Bekwarra, Ikom, Obubra etc. Different people spread across the state. Even in some local governments the people speak different languages. So you either argue with facts or you keep your opinion to yourself.

Speaking different languages or dialects does not constitute to being a different ethnic group. You talk about facts, when you are the one saying there are over 200 ethnic groups LOL. Where are YOUR facts?

Don't tell me you have a census from Nigeria of all places, that is an accurate one that tells us. Even the last one that we have "managed" did not include religion or ethnic origin per se'.

Maybe you are from the 4th or 5th largest and are trying to have a feel good moment, as your thread does not do anything to strengthen the Naira that is dropping like Unilag girl nyash at the club

All the villages in Boki East speak different languages. And Boki East is just half of a local government.

In 2010, Ijaws were 10Million, in 2014, they were 14million, in 2016, they are now 15million.

In 2006 census figures

Rivers 5,185,400
Delta 4,098,300
Edo 3,218,332
Bayelsa 1,703,358

Total 14,205,390.

Im to assume everyone in these states are Ijaws. If not, you have to substantiate your claims. Tnx.

you sound pained

by the way, were you expecting me to refer to the doctored Nigerian population census starting from 1952-53 which was manipulated by britain to favour the hausa fulani in their quest for the control of power/resources through having more representative seat?.

read this if you care..http://saharareporters.com/2013/12/10/debunked-harold-smith-nigeria-census-lies

The 1920/1921 figures are the most accurate census we have had..as for lumping other etnic group with the igbo, the colonial masters are not as ignorant as you assume. they know each and every distinct ethnic group...

pix 1 is a map of igbo land in 1902, show me a part of it that is not an igbo area

pix 2/3(cont) is showing the igbo sub groupings, in 1920, also show me a part of the igbo tribes listed that are not igbo

This why i love nairaland,it has been a source of education for me, hence i was forced to register. i use to be an observer since 2011 and i have learnt alot from people here especially Nigeria's history
