When that one go loud oh. U financial spend months downloading at that speed. Unless maybe u take it to somewhere with better signal and speed. Spectranet ain't that good but there are some regions with strong signal where u can still get up to 10- 15mbps.

Seems the reception got bad recently. My friend that stays around said it got bad 2 days ago. Spectranet are sending an Engineer to my house tomorrow to come check it. He already called me, let's see how it goes.

Does anybody have any idea how to get open or even moderate NAT on X1 or type 1 or type 2 on PS4? I have tried opening all the ports on my router but I still can't resolve it

Same problem I'm facing on ps4. Always on NAT 3 and can't even connect to PSN. Its frustrating that I have to use etisalat whenever I want to connect to ps4 which is slow as hell.

In Yaba, both networks do very well; so I guess the one that's more cost efficient should work for you.

There's one in surulere and another in ikoyi, check their site for complete list of outlets.

They are sleeping while mtn is rocking. See what I'm getting today from ntel. Tomorrow I'm going to get a new mtn sim since they refused to ugrade sim because the person that registered it is not around. I'll keep both, ntel for downloading and streaming and MTN on my phone since they have flexible plans.

nope.

but i've since come to realize they are like Glo. work well in select locations.

but even with full bars in one such location, i still can't do more than 3Mbps. 7Mbps in the midnight.

U can't tether over VPN on Android. I tried it on iphone stillcant connect to PSN. Used VPN on pc and shared to ps4 still same thing. Mtn also finds it difficult to connect to an but after several tries it does connect. As for ntel no matter how much I try ,it just wont connect. The only network that works with PSN without issues for me are spectranet and etisalat.

If you have 1 or 2 bars, then these are the kind of speeds u should get, however... Even when they had the node issue (speedtest was still hitting 30Mbps, mine at least)

The PSN issue is being worked on ATM. If i start my download on my PS4 with another internet source, do you think it will be able to continue with Ntel? Try for me if ur Ntel is live. Get a free content or whatever smiley

7Mbps or 7MBps? 8Mbps = 1MBps. (megabits , MegaBytes)?

Yes it will continue. Actually its not that ntel doesn't connect to internet on ps4. It connects but it doesn't sign in to PSN. Which means u cannot play games online and u cannot access the PlayStation store. It's not just on the PlayStation but also on phone and laptop. When go to PlayStation.com and try to log in u are going to get access denied. The only way u can download stuff on PlayStation is start the download with nother network and then switch to ntel to continue the download.

I updated my Ps4 earlier this week, started the download with ntel but it was very very slow, estimated 2 hoirs plus to download a file of about 300mb. I then used my computer and went to PlayStation.com download the file into a flash drive with same ntel and it downloaded within 8 mins. I then updated the machine manually with the flash drive.

It has improved this morning with 1-2 bars see what I'm getting. Last time I was at Lagos - Abeokuta expressway where they supposedly have strong signal. I had 5 bars bit surprisingly I was getting 15mbps download and a very weird upload of 26mbps.

Megbits not bytes, bits.

most guys keep getting deceived by speedtest.net showing fantabulous numbers for testing connections to main isp servers in lagos or abuja.

Hello guys,

I'm considering switching to ntel for the company I work. We've been on SWIFT for years but considering switching as swift's 120gb is not sufficient for us anymore and we keep exhausting before a month. I've tried unlocking the swift modems to try out ntel for some days but I've not been able to do so. Ntel is selling their modem for 36k which is too expensive for a test.
I want to know if I can get a cheaper modem that will run Ntel and if it works well in Yaba and will be okay for a company of 12 systems.

Thanks in anticipation

Hello Pheesayor, it kinda difficult answering that question cos according to the terms and conditions of some of these providers, u're only supposed to use it for personal not commercial purposes.

That said the network in yaba is relatively okay, the speed during the first 3 months is supposed to be unlimited but some complain that it's throttled.

I'd suggest u unlock ur swift router that's presuing it's a regular router not the old wimax router, then pick up an Ntel sim and subscribe to the 1k plan and try it out for 2days b4 u make a substantial investment which may put ur job on the line.

For ur info, I used over 300gb during my first month and I paid just 10k, the ball is in ur court; all the best....

As for the router, you could get an unlocked one online or alternatively get a locked spectranet modem and take it to computer village to unlock for about 5k that's what I did, just search olx or jiji....

Just like saint2ace said, its better u try with the 1k for 2 days to know if it suits u. I would have asked u to buy those mifi modems but since they are limited to 10 connected devices then its out of it. Try and unlock ur swift router. Out of curiosity, what's the model of ur modem?

The swift modem is a 4g LTE E5172Bs-925 modem but I've not been able to unlock it, it is easier unlocking same spectranet modem as the software allows sim unlocking but that of swift does not. That's why I've been trying to know if there's another way to unlock it as the modem is just there wasting. However there's another swift modem we are currently using b310s-927 I won't mind experimenting with that for some days as our swift data bundle with run out today or tomorrow.

And Ntel can be used for commercial purposes according to their staff that's why they have modems they sell for 36k

Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by pheesayor(m): 5:27pm On Oct 11, 2016
I redeemed one of my booked sims today, using on lenovo A2010 and there's just one bar here, speedtest shows 2.72Mbps download and 0.26Mbps upload, slower than swift that I want to switch from, though I'm streaming without buffering, at least for now. I'm almost convinced to go for this, signal bar is 1, fluctuates higher to 3 at times.

Are you still using ntel?
