I'm on global rom. Which rom improve battery life sir.
Let me assume there is a bug affecting your phone, otherwise the battery of the mi5 is very impressive.

It is always advisable to do a factory reset after every OS update. Then use the phone till the battery dies down completely after which you charge the phone to full.

It consumes more battery juice wen browsing (Web pages not downloads). About 10% in 20 minutes.
I miss my xperia z3; it's battery last longer.

I signed out then sign in. No difference.

Try to update your miui to the latest version, that should improve the battery a bit. I took a second look at those pictures you shared, and I suggest you should switch one sim to 2G and possibly turn of its mobile data when not in use. You have a lot of tweaking to do grin grin grin

I'm on latest miui 8.
I'm using only 1 sim for data. Besides, it's not possible to use the 2 sims for data. Thanks a lot for your time.

I think the latest miui for mi 5 is 8.0.2.0 which is very bad in terms of battery life. I've heard a lot of negative comments about this rom. Redmi note 3 just updated to 8.0.5.0 so I think update for mi 5 is on the way. I'll try to dig out the link on how to optimise the battery life

In setting > battery> manage apps battery usage
Click on "On" multiple times

"Ultimate" mode comes up.

You can now allow individual apps of your choice like WhatsApp and Gmail to run in background. To do this, select "choose apps" (from picture 1) and select your choice accordingly like in picture 2.

Alternatively, to lock an app in memory, open the app of your choice > press home button > press menu button> pull down the app and click on the lock icon. See pic 3.

Sorry for my jaga jaga explanation

The mediatek miui update is 8.0.3.0 which should be out this next week.

I would suggest you read the feedback before downloading. Most times the updates don't do much good on the battery life.

Same happen to me.
Mi5 was sold at #125k on kulimart. I had #120k. Looking for #5k to order for one.
Two days later, price increased to #127.
I was able to order at #127. A friend want one and decided to order two days later.
To my surprise, price rises to #140k.
My friend gave up coz the price difference (#15k) was too high.

Sir, it's actually a solution for 3,000mAh battery phone. It seems you're a heavy user. The battery should last for a day on normal usage.

If actually it's from Xiaomi's side then they will fix this via OTA update.

Kindly follow the steps given by GrandMufti that will definitely save a lot of battery juice.

You really did a good job. This really works wonders. One of those beauty of MIUI, a lot of features.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 11:53am On Oct 14, 2016
You can still save more battery life by going to security >auto start and disable some unnecessary application from starting up when ever you reboot the phone
