Owls are generallly active at night. There are
some larger owls that intentionally fly during the day. It is my understanding that Snowy White owls do fly intentionally during the day on a regular basis. Barred and Great Horned will fly
on cloudy afternoons. Owls will sometimes fly away from their roosting spot when mobbed by crows and other birds. About 2 weeks ago, I saw a Barred owl flying away from a mob of crows. It was flying parallel with my vehicle, so I did get a fairly good view. Crows and owls have a difficult relationship. Crows roost at night in fairly conspicious places. I think that owls like to pick them off while they are sleeping. I think that this upsets crows. So when crows have the opportunity to chase and harass an owl, they do take advantage of it. I have also heard of owls hunting during the day, when food is needed for their owlets. Personally, I only see owls during the day while they are roosting, or being chased. Statistically, there is 1 owl every 2 square miles. If they flew that much during the day, we would see them more often.

So I was inside the Ikotun market today to get some foodstuff when I heard people shouting blood of Jesus, some speaking in tongues. I turned back to see this beautiful owl trying to escape from a shop. The man in this picture hacked it down with a thick rod. Everyone said it is a witch in bird form.

People are taken by the supreme intelligence of that bird and that is why they are always in awe of it.

All they just need is understand it and see how life could be easy and efficient if they can just understand how things work. Under the basis and be free.
